I've more or less enjoyed this author's books but now I remember that I've never been a big fan of the heroines and well here too I had this problem and with the setup also, it was hard to believe it.

Hunter is a total outdoors man who along with his brothers is leading some models for an outdoor shoot and the one in charge intrigues him. Toni is a total city girl, goth (hiding behind it) and hates outdoors since she got lost there once so for all intents and purposes there should be nothing betw...more

As I started reading I was completely drawn in. the characters all seem like they have a hidden secret. Toni seems like the type that will not let people close to her because she is afraid of something or someone. Hunter is the do-gooder. He wants to get to know Toni but has no clue how.
Bu the end of the first chapter all the main characters are revealed. There is also some tension between the two main characters. They are both attracted to each other but Toni is scared and Hunter wants to get t...more

"Wild Thing" is basically the 5th in a series. The first 4 took place in NYC. "Romeo, Romeo", "Too Hot to Handle" and "Breakfast in Bed" were fantastic! 5 stars. The 4th book, "Yours for the Taking" was terrible. For me, "Wild Thing" lands in the middle.

In "Yours for the Taking", the characters traveled to Idaho and we were introduced to the Kincaid family. This book takes place mainly in Idaho (that was a nice change from the previous books) and centers around Hunter Kincaid. Hunter and his bro...more

I know every time I pick up a book by author Robin Kaye I’m going to experience an entertaining and passionate love story.

WILD THING is a fine example of her work. The story sizzles with the pulse-pounding sexual tension. It also gives you laugh out loud moments like how the Kincaid children were named. It’s a story that moves along quickly, but is filled with lots of details.

Toni Russo is the manager of Action Models and loves living in New York. She dresses in goth but tends to blend into the...more

I have read the complete Domestic God's Series, even when they began to feel a bit repetitive, but I like to finish a series and know what happens to all of the characters that I invested all of my time with, but Wild Thing....just didn't do it for me. I know, I know....I REALLY wanted to like this book and after reading the blurb, I was so excited to finally sit down and start the book...but after the first few pages... I was ready to put it down.

The main characters, Hunter Kincaid and Toni Ru...more

Wild Thing has all the elements that should make up a book I'd consider as one of my guilty pleasures. Considering this book is the fifth Robin Kaye book I picked this week, I'd say Robin Kaye is my new fave guilty pleasures author and finishing this novel had a lot to do with me reading the other four that came before it. I was looking forward to getting the same experience I had with the other books from the Domestic Gods series, however, this latest addition came up short.

I feel the disappoi...more

Contemporary Romance published by Sourcebooks Casablanca 1 Dec 11

This is only my second Robin Kaye book, and what a blast I’ve had reading each of them. Her characters are fun and her writing is light and steamy in just the right spots. The intriguing part of Wild Thing is how opposites definitely attract. Hunter and Toni are poles apart in every aspect of their lives, and that makes their loving and their differences enjoyable t...more

Wildly entertaining, Robin Kaye dishes up a captivating cotemporary romance with a main man that is sure to make you swoon!

Toni Russo, manager of Action Models, is on a set right out of her nightmares. Lost and left roaming the wilderness for three days when she was only six years old, Toni has been deathly afraid of anything ‘outdoorsy’ ever since. When her boss has to stay in New York though for important business negations, Toni sees managing the outing as a chance to prove herself...more

Wild Thing was kindly provided to me by Netgalley for Sourcebooks Casablanca

Toni Russo is a goth girl from New York city and the Manager of Action Models. As a last minute replacement she has been sent to Idaho’s rugged mountains to watch over the latest photo shoot and the models, something she dreads due to phobia she has of the outdoors/woods.

Hunter Kincaid is the owner and tour guide for River Runners Camp, he is a dominant alpha...more

Hunter and Toni are complete opposites. He's a nature guy; loves the great outdoors. Toni is a city girl and being out in the woods gives her a panic attack. I started reading Wild Thing expecting a light-hearted romance about two totally different people falling in love. Hunter and Toni eventually do fall in love but it happens so fast that I couldn't fully get on board with it.

Hunter is practically in love with Toni from the first page. When he first meets her he is totally attracted to her an...more

Wild Thing by Robin Kaye
Toni Russo is invisible. Even in her Goth clothes she disappears when she is around the super models that surround her, and she is good with that. Bianca, her boss at Action Models has sent her to overlook the photo shoot in Stanley, Idaho and that is not a good thing. Toni is happy in New York with all the noise and crowds, she is not happy in the wilderness at Sawtooth Inn. For some reason the handsome Hunter Kincaid, owner of River Runner's guide service won't let her...more

Kaye delivers a fun read - it was a great escape during Thanksgiving weekend. She employs several tropes - opposites attract, misunderstandings, and the ugly (Goth) duckling who shines among the swans (models) - all which made it a sexy adventure in the great outdoors.

The title triggered several songs in my head. I felt as though hunky Hunter could sing to Goth Toni,

Wild thing, I think you move me
But I wanna know for sure
So come on, hold me tight
You move me

The secondary characters generate their...more

Where do I start? I liked the book, it had a nice romantic story. Now, what I didn't care for:
he is
-a ski instructor in winter
-hiking/tour guide in summer
-counsels troubled teens
-cooks gourmet meals in a cabin in the woods
-makes the bed with hospital corners
-has the perfect body
-he customized his car
-he knows how to blanket train horses
-did laundry for his family including his mom and sister so he knows how to wash delicate clothes

I stopped writing things after a while. Then the author changed P...more

Review posted: Happily Ever After - Reads

The only word that came to mind after seeing Hunter Kincaid shirtless was magnificent. The man was perfection personified, except for that little flaw he had that enabled him to get her to do things she wasn’t interested in doing.

This story has so many characters that made me laugh and really enjoy. The timeline doesn’t go past about a week from start to finish and follows Toni coming to the great outdoors, leading a photo shoot for her job. To say that...more
Shh I'm reading!
I love the Kincaids! A more interfering, loving, and charming family I have yet to read in a contemporary romance. The highlight of the book for me was the family dynamics, but the relationship between Hunter and Toni upped the sexiness factor if not necessarily the romance. The pattern is typical of a Kaye book. Sexy man secure in his masculinity who's an amazing cook falls in love with independent, down on love woman terrified to admit she has feelings for him. This was no exception, but so mu...more

This one wasn't my favorite of hers. It had so many cliches that I was rolling my eyes at some parts of the book. The hero and heroine didn't feel like they fit together or that they feel in love because of more than physical attraction. I felt that she had so much potential to making Toni a dynamic character with many sides due to her hard past but it was too glossed over in the novel and her character felt flat. It wasn't realistic to think that someone having panic attacks from being outside...more

Toni Russo, manager of Action Models, has arrived in the Idaho wilderness to oversee a photo shoot which has become her worst nightmare. Toni is deathly afraid of the wilderness after a traumatic event as a child and would rather be anywhere else than the scenic mountain terrain of this location. Hunter Kincaid, owner of River Runners, will be leading Toni's group of models for this photo shoot and keeping everyone safe on this assignment. Hunter is instantly intrigued by this sexy, Goth-dressin...more

Well, I did like this book in a "no-brainer, easy to read" sort of way, which is what I read romance novels for anyway; however some of the stuff in this one made me wonder. First of all, Trapper, Hunter, and Fisher? Really? Wow! Okay, also, Trapper and Fisher seem to be way more buddy-buddy than Hunter and Fisher, which was odd to me, because Hunter and Fisher are supposed to be twins. I know Hunter was pre-occupied and all, but it seemed like a common thing between Trapper and Fisher. Also, I...more

Didn't finish this one, barely made it to halfway. Our heroine dresses like Abby on the television show NCIS, and this is all the evidence we are given for how "feisty" and one-of-a-kind she is. Other than that, she spends her time acting like either a helpless baby or a completely irrational and mean-spirited bitch. Who wouldn't fall in love with her?

I also just couldn't take how, after knowing each other for less than 24 hours, the two main characters are mired down in a swamp of angst and con...more

Toni Russo is a city girl, through and through. Hunter Kincaid lives and works in the wilderness. When Action Models sets up a photo shoot with Hunter's company, taking their models rafting and hiking, Toni ends up having to accompany the models at the last minute. Toni would rather do just about anything else; she has a phobia about being in the wilderness. But Hunter makes it his personal mission to be sure Toni loses her fears and has a good time...

This book I received free from Goodreads. I loved the book. It was the first time I read a Robin Kaye's book. I will look for this author again. I liked the humor she puts into the book. Opposites due attact. Toni is a Goth dressed manager of a model agency that falls for a hunky outdoorsman named Hunter. They get together and the heat starts with them. Alot of humor between his brothers and sister are exchanged, but it helps with the relationship in the long run. From hunter trying to get her t...more

I enjoyed the book, and it was pretty well written. However, there is one thing which drives me crazy, which cost the author a star. Eyeballs can't talk!!! These constant referrals to what the eyes say just doesn't work for me. Ms. Kaye needs to find other ways to express her character's feelings. Otherwise, the plot was fun, although I also thought Toni's outdoor experience gave so much more opportunity for developing her character than Ms. Kay took advantage of. Still, bottom line is I enjoyed...more

From the beginning, Toni intrigues Hunter. from her attitude and goth attire, to her book on how to marry a guy in her cabin. Let's not forget about her phobia of being outdoors that brings out his protective side that makes him want to fix everything.

Toni is a strong female lead, well that is until you try to get her to do anything that revolves around the outdoors and I'm not talking about walking to the nearest Starbucks. Forced into managing this hellish photo shoot in the middle of a scary...more

Toni Russo is a manger of a modeling agency in New York City and hates the great outdoors so when the owner of the agency gets involved with another business matter Toni is selected to go with a group of models into the wild outdoors of Idaho for a shoot. What she wasn’t expecting to find was a outdoors man who will stop at nothing to get a real chance to know her.

I love that this book took place in my own backyard! A week long photo shoot in the wilderness with a hunky outdoorsman? Bring it.

Hunter Kincaid is a professional outdoorsman and the tour guide for this week long adventure. Right from the start, the chemistry between Toni and Hunter starts to spark until they are well on their way to...more

Favorite Lines: “”Do you mind?”

Hunter took a sip of whatever was in the travel cup he held. “Not at all–just wondering if you were going for that naughty-schoolgirl-fantasy look.”

My Review:
I really love Robin's writing. I think that I have read all of her books so far, and this one did not disappoint. These are books are simply fun to read...pure entertainment with some wonderful, feel-good romance in them.

This is the start of a new series, although there are a few characters that you will recognize if you have read Robin Kaye's previous books. This series features the Kincaid siblings. Even how they all received their names is a really funny:

Another book I'm going to recommend to all my friends :) Can't wait until December when you can read this one! WOW! I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy from net galley :)

I loved this book so much!!! I just loved white water rafting when I was a kid - I can't wait until my youngest is old enough for us to go on a family trip :)

The book is about A man - Hunter - who owns his own Cabin out in Idaho, he runs a camp for kids that suffer from abuse, or stray away from the right path - Hunter is...more

She looked like something out of a steaming hot sexual fantasy. He’d never had a sexual fantasy of the Goth variety before. He was pretty sure that was about to change.

I'm a big fan of the author's four previous books which I read in quick succession at the beginning of this year. It's not necessary to read the other books before starting this one, but if you did, you get little updates on the characters as time goes on.

The story starts out with Toni, a modeling agency manager, completely out of her element in the Idaho wilderness. She has a fear of the woods which is COMPLETELY understandable when you find out why. She meets Hunter, a character who was previ...more

Robin Kaye was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge next door to her Sicilian grandparents. Living with an extended family that’s a cross between Gilligan’s Island and The Sopranos, minus the desert isle and illegal activities, explains both her comedic timing and the cast of quirky characters in her books.

She’s lived in half a dozen states from Idaho to Flor...more
