Dans la lignée du Tome 1, et dans le style historique inimitable que Gallo a su créer, un récit vivant, factuel mais engagé de cette impressionnante année 1942 durant laquelle l'espoir changea de camp à El Alamein, Stalingrad, et Guadalcanal, durant laquelle aussi, en dépit des embuches mises sur son chemin par nos propres alliés, la Resistance s'affirma définitivement aux cotés du gaullisme pour former la France combattante.

Very easy to read. The book provides the reader with detailed events that occurred during the Second World War. Though it is a history book, it never gets boring. I particularly liked the parts that described the battle of Stalingrad.
