I read this book with my 4 year old child. He has autism and owns an adopted black lab. This is his review for the book:
"I really like the dog book. I really like the picture when the collie was excited to get a forever home. I learned a lot about dogs. I have a black dog we adopted. Her name is KC. I learned black dogs are least likely to find a home. That makes me sad. I love KC. She is the best black dog ever. I don't know why people don't like black dogs. I know dogs need food and water like
Delightful book describing the responsibilities of a pet owner, the feelings of dogs and a trip around Savannah, Georgia.

Cute illustrations and a good moral. It displayed nicely on both my nook and kindle for PC.
I bought this book as a gift for my nephew. He loves it! Great story and beautifully illustrated.

A warm and wonderful children’s book written by Tarrin Lupo is a huge success and a must for every home and school library. It’s true, animal lovers love happy endings! When a dog (not just any dog but your dog) finds you or I should say, you find him or her, then a beautiful friendship begins.

The story opens with a family adopting a Collie and interacting with one another, the children find a special name for their new pet. Raja, means “King” in Indian, and he is thrilled to be surrounded by lo
Catch That Collie!!! is a great book to get a kid with their first pet! It teaches you what a dog wants and needs. Their is also basic needs of a dog and pet facts after the story. Although it's a teaching/learning book it is told with a fun story so kid's won't get bored. This book gives you two points of view: one from the human';s point of vew and one from the dog's. It is also filled with wonderful pictures that help tell Raja's story. Raja's story is about missing Marcie, his friend, so bad ...more

5 stars very entertaining and informative and interesting to read about dogs gives you info about dogs and how they live
This book is sometimes free for Kindle. In the form of a picture book, it teaches basics of caring for a dog. The glimpses of Savannah are pleasant. The story is entertaining enough. The incidents aren't so different from a book we love, Harry the Dirty Dog. But even the collie of the title is barely a character. The author may have intended these dogs and people to be blanks, hoping that readers will cast the roles for themselves and their local shelter dogs.

Shelves: watched-video
I watched the video online. The illustrations are gorgeous, great colors and movement. I think a kid would anxiously watch the video but not sure if younger kids will understand everything that is presented. Perfect for older kids and first time pet owners. A hard copy for reference would be a good guide. Nice to see an Author, Tarrin Lupo that is doing something about animal adoptions! Support this book/cause if you are able.

Even grownups will will love this book. I think it's even an awesome read for kids/families who don't have pets.

This book might change your mind on adopting one. If not, at least you'll have a great adventure reading about one that DOES get adopted!

Beautifully illustrated children's book about being a responsible pet owner. It was set in Savannah, GA., one of my favorite places to visit! Also included interesting facts/statistics about dogs.

I am horrified at the lack of preparedness by these first time owners!!! IMO this gives a very poor picture on how to do things when getting a new pet.
A good book for kids to learn what taking care of a pet entails. Layout not so great on the Kindle. But might be better on the iPad, haven't checked though.
Lector Inspector
Reminded me to keep my dogs away from onions and TAUGHT me about anti- black dog adoption prejudice.
Not necessarily practical; misunderstandings about the dog's "purpose" in running away.
Childrens story. A good story to read to a younger child on the how and why of dog care.
Free download? Great for children and the illustrations are awesome.
A great story for small children and their first pets.
