This is one of the few Henry books that I don't actually remember reading over and over again as a child, which is a bit odd, all things considering. Maybe our library didn't own it...Or maybe because it wasn't my favorite of the series.

One of the things that is great about the Henry books is that, while they are pretty simplistic, the words are not dumbed down. In this one, I spotted "thronged", "wandered", "enormous", and several other decently sized words that some small children might not kn

I enjoyed it. This was closer to the other books in the series that I liked as a kid. Henry's dislike of being laughed at and discomfort with unfamiliar surroundings were well done. I also liked that Henry was worried about going to the vet since he was in a pet carrier. I always assume cats freak out about those kinds of things.

This rad Siamese saves a little girl at the county fair. The cat is proud, helpful, skilled...everything a great feline hero needs to be.
