Εξαιρετικό ιστορικό μυθιστόρημα. Πολύ καλή αναπαράσταση εποχών και τόπων (Χάνδακας, Βενετία, Ρώμη, Τολέδο) αλλά και ανθρώπων. Ο Δομήνικος παρουσιάζεται όπως ήταν, όχι εξιδανικευμένος ή εξωραϊσμένος, με την έπαρσή του και τα λάθη του. I hadn't realised that the painter El Greco who spent most of his painting life in Spain was from Crete. This biography, written by a Contemporary Cretan, was an interesting exploration of his life although I was still bemused about why he made his life in one of the more oppressive European countries of the 16th and 17th centuries.
Author, screenwriter and director, Babis Plaitakis (Μπάμπης Πλαϊτάκης) was born in Crete in 1949 and lives in France.
