Stephen Yates
Urban D is both a pastor and an MC, so his is an interesting perspective to take into account. The book gives a rudimentary take on the history of hip hop, but is more interesting in hearing his own transformation into the hip hop ethos. The book swings to a very 'emerging-church' postmodern theology (without being unorthodox); and is somewhat helpful as a case study in the final section of the book to see a church truly doing a contextualized ministry to a specific group.
