I read this during my holiday in Norway. I liked it a lot, it is excellent vacation literature.

Offertomi come una formidabile ucronia fantapolitica, alla quarta pagina ho realizzato di trovarmi davanti uno sbiadito John le Carré riletto da Barbara Cartland.
La principale preoccupazione dell'autore, quando non è impegnato ad autocompiacersi delle tirate improbabili dei suoi personaggi, sembra essere quella di rimarcare la venustà dei suoi protagonisti.

Ich habe schon einige Bücher von Schätzing gelesen und immer wieder finde gegen Ende, dass er etwas nachlässt. So auch hier bei Lautlos. Die Charaktere sind wunderbar entwickelt, die Geschichte spannend. Wie immer hat Schätzing akribisch rescherchiert, was ich einfach grandios finde. Die Bücher werden dadurch natürlich dicker, voluminöser, etwas anstrengender, aber eben auch glaubwürdiger.

Ich hatte bisher leider Schätzings Bücher verpasst, und zwar genau deswegen weil er mit Kenn Follet verglichen wird. Nun aber ist er eher besser, weil die Bücher einen Hintergrund haben, sei es um weltgeschehen oder geschchte. Lautlos, ist einfach ein sehr spannendes Buch das eine eher unbekannte Seite unserer Welt darstellt. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.
Prepare for page longe monologues explaining the political views of the author. A Hero who is merely the authors alter ego and name-dropping at its worst.

Il solito Schatzing. Bello ed interessante, oltre che geniale nella costruzione della storia, ma maledettamente prolisso e logorroico.

Eine Spannende Idee, kann meiner Meinung nach von der Spannung her aber nicht mit 'Der Schwarm' mithalten.
Unterhaltsam. Brachte mich darauf, mich mit Whisky zu befassen.

Wer "Der Schwarm" mochte wird sicherlich auch "Lautlos" mögen. Auch sehr naturwissenschaftlich angehaucht; in diesem Fall jedoch Physik statt Biologie.
Die irische Hauptfigur war für mich persönlich das Highlight. Die Art und Weise wie Schätzing durch die Perspektiven spring mag nicht jedermanns Ding sein, ich persönlich mochte das jedoch sowohl in "Der Schwarm" als auch in "Lautlos".

Un eccellente "autopsia" di un attentato terroristico; Schatzing è una garanzia!
oh gott, schreibt der mann schlecht! wenn die geschichte nicht halbwegs okay gewesen wäre... MEINE GÜTE und das auf 800 Seiten!
Okay, so I just love Frank Schätzing. Another great thriller, combining espionage, politics and post-Communist vendetta. He weaves an amazing conspiracy, with high suspense right up to the last page of the book. He's simply a master of the intellectual thriller.
Durchaus spannend erzählt und in jedem Fall hilft es der Erinnerung auf die Sprünge, wenn es um die Gipfelzeit (EU und G8) in Köln geht.
Raffiniert und spannend geschrieben. Schätzings lückenlose Recherche macht die Handlung überzeugend.

Schätzing was born in Cologne and studied communication studies; he later ran his own company, an advertising agency named INTEVI, in Cologne. Schätzing became a writer in 1990, and penned several novellas and satires. His first published novel was the historical Tod und Teufel in 1995, and in 2000 his thriller Lautlos.
