I found this book to be an informative look at how air rescue developed over time, as the author was one of the pilots that helped to develop a lot of what we take for granted today. I knew that helicopters were way more unstable than airplanes, but the author does a good job of explaining just how finicky they really are and why a good pilot is a necessity.
