I loved this book for its research and history of textiles (related to quilts) from around the world. Having many different specialists who could comment on their own country added to the depth of information. Of course, I wanted more, which is probably impossible. All in all, a good read...didn't need the patterns, though. Not sure the type of reader for this book would be interested in them...they seemed like an afterthought.
