Warning...when taken to heart it will mean death to "self"
I was drawn to this book for quite some time. It was the title. I am not a big fan of womens self help books. Not to put down Miss De Moss' ministry. I don't know much about it to this day. DeMoss' book on Surrender is challenging, encouraging and compels the reader to take action. Like the "first" book in this trilogy of sorts, Brokenness, Surrender is a must read for the believer in Christ who really wants to walk in the will of God.

LIFE CHANGING ,the book gives the sentence-------- I surrender all. A new meaning. Take my life and let it be consecrated Lord to thee. This was my third time through this book. I highly recommend doing this with a friend . I have gone through this book with woman in counseling .
Be a complete sacrafice which is our reasonable act of service.
Wow! What an amazingly humbling book. Ms. DeMoss really knows how to hit you where it counts... She really shows us just how full of ourselves we truly are, and our need to surrender everything - our health, our possessions, our time, our emotions, our wants and desires, our friends and family - to God and to trust him with everything. We cannot surrender to His will, if we stubbornly hold anything back. I will be needing to reread this book... numerous times.
The chapter called "Living the Surrendered Life" is worth the price of the book. It consists of a list of questions to help one analyze the depth of surrender to the Lord in different areas of life. Convicting.

The true meaning of surrender to our all-knowing God and the actions that you may have to take are very clearly expressed.

Helped me to identify areas that I have not surrendered to God, and helped me to really look at the reasons behind this. It was motivating. i need to reread it. surrender's hard!
It is not enough to surrender to God... we must surrender everything to God. Are there areas of our life that we are trying to control ourselves? Great book!

My D-Group is going through this book together. It has been challenging
Good book - the challenge to surrender all to God -- no matter what. Not easy to do, but surrender is where we need to be.
I found it to be inspirational and thought provoking.
