Wow! This is a fantastic read! It is captivating! Brilliantly written. This alluring tale is original and yet classic at the same time. It is more than just your average story of good (light) versus evil (dark). This is a story of jealousy, greed, betrayal, sacrifice, desire, and love. It is a story of what happens when what a person wants corrupts them into doing the unthinkable, and the results of that corruption. I was left wondering...what price is too high?

This is a wonderful YA book! Beautifully Broken is the first book in Sherry Soule's Spellbound series. The story follows Shiloh, a 16 year-old witch who is just learning about her powers. As soon as I started this book I knew I loved it. Drawn in by amazing writing, I fell right into the story. What I like most about this book is the great plot line. First thing that really stood out to me with this novel - that is after that stunning cover, Wow! - was the setting. This is one of those few books that I am just not sure how to rate. I liked it but the story did have some issues. Manly things that could have been taken care of with a good editor, some slight inconsistencies but nothing really horrible.
I did like the story line though, it was creepy and suspenseful but I didn't really feel myself loving it until probably the last 50 or so pages left when the action picked up and stuff really started to happen.

Shiloh has it pretty tough. I felt for her immediately. She has an estranged relationship with her mom, and no one to confide in about these strange things that are happening to her.
