I was in the mood for Shelley Munro and M/M so this was perfect. I loved Ty and Darcy. From start to finish, I didn't want to put this one down.

Kudos on another fantastic book, Shelley!!!

Tyson and Darcy meet when gay Darcy joins the Auckland rugby team Ty is already on. Darcy joining the team makes Ty begin to question his living in the closet. While issues in this story seem to work themselves out rather quickly, it was a good read. Having read much of Ms. Munro's later works, I can see how her writing has developed over the past few years. Because I don't follow rugby some of the terms were a little confusing, but it was a good portrayal of the sport.

Ty and Darcy had quite a few hurdles to jump over, the main one being their future as professional athletes in a field where the players disdained gays. In addition, there was the issue of one partner being out and the other in the closet. On the road for “away” games they had an opportunity to be together without anyone suspecting their relationship as none of the other players wanted to room with Darcy, so Ty did which was very convenient, but eventually they had to come back home and face the ...more

This is the story of Tyson Hamlin, a rugby player who only came into the sport because of the unfulfilled dreams his father had. He is a good player, well better than good really, but his heart was not in it. He was more dedicated to his studies in Sports Medicine and he dreamt the dream of quitting the sport. One day. Today though, he is playing it cool and straight. Until Darcy Nichols walks into the locker room.

WANNA DO BAD THINGS WITH YOU is a great MM romance with wonderful rugby-playing leads.

Tyson lives and breathes rugby in New Zealand but his new teammate, Darcy, is an out gay man and is making his secret desires come to the fore. Darcy is reluctant to mess around with a teammate but as the men spend more time together they become more attracted to each other for a relationship and not just sex.

I really liked this novella. I loved the exotic (to me) location of New Zealand and the inclusion of th

Tyson wants to make the national rugby team but he does not know if that is his dream or his father's. His father was injured and unable to have much of a rugby career and has been pushing Tyson since he was five. His father criticizes every aspect of his life, including his choice to complete a degree in sports medicine. Tyson has a girlfriend, but has little emotion for her. Darcy, the new rugby player who is opening gay, stirs Tyson's heart. Tyson has kept his true feelings from everyone and ...more

Although I'm unsure of why, I could not stay in the story. It may just be me. It wasn't a bad story at all. I usually like sports themed stories. There have been at least two other rugby ones I've loved. This story was sweet. The author obviously knows her Rugby. The world building and character development were fine especially for the length of story. There is plenty of sex. There were no glaring editing or plot issues that completely threw me out of the story. I appreciated there wasn't a lot ...more

This was a short, enjoyable read that allowed you to not have to think too much. I wouldn't call myself sporty at all but being Australian had no trouble following the rugby storyline. Yes, it wasn't as indepth as it could have been, but it was a short story. I liked both lead characters immensely & found the sporting setting added extra interest. In this age where more sporting stars are being open about their sexuality this story is extremely topical & it was handled very well.

Good m/m romance about two rugby players on the Auckland team (one gay and out, one closeted) who get secretly involved with each other. I enjoy Shelley Munro's stories, but always end up feeling as if a deeper edit could've smoothed out the roughness.

Shelley lives in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband and a rambunctious puppy.

Typical New Zealanders, Shelley and her husband left home for their big OE soon after they married (translation of New Zealand speak - big overseas experience). A year long adventure lengthened to six years of roaming the world. Enduring memories include being almost sat on by a mountain gorilla in Rwanda, lazing on
