I had fun watching Nan & Riley fall in love in 10 days. Nan came over from Wisconsin to Ireland to find Carey who had for years wrote letters back and forth to her mom. Nan's mom died when she was 8 and was sick two years before that. Her father died last year.
So Nan thought she could learn about her mom through Carey. Nan is a librarian at University.
Riley runs the family bar in summer while his parents travel. Riley is also a songwriter and singer with his own band.
Nan found out why she ha...more
It's slightly jarring to realise that you're actually at that prime age where romance heroines usually find their panty dropping heroes and live happily ever after. Or older and single still. This happened to me yesterday.

Kate Hoffmann has been writing about the Quinns for over a decade now, but I can't remember stumbling on this series before. Maybe it's because Harlequin Temptation series isn't a favourite of my mother's and thus I didn't get to steal, uh, borrow, her copies to read. Even wit...more

**Originally, I listened to this through my Blaze subscription on Audible THEN I got a print version through NetGalley and Harlequin. Cool!**

Remember when I said Blaze was most miss (on the Hit or Miss) scale lately? Well, this one was actually a "Hit."

Yes, it was your predictable romance novel set in Ireland-I'm OKAY with that, thank you! There was an incident with sheep, artistic family members, brooding older brother, enviable marriage of the hero's 'rents, a pub (family-owned, of course), an...more

Since losing both her parents, she has an overwhelming desire to learn more about her mother and so she embarks on a ten-day visit to the County Cork village where her mother stayed twenty-seven years earlier.

Arriving at Shannon, she's met by Riley Quinn, a songwriter, helper in the family pub and the owner of the cottage where she's going to stay. It'...more

The Mighty Quinns: Riley is a perfect example of a Harlequin Blaze book: gorgeous characters, steamy sex, and sexual attraction that overwhelms the characters and causes them to do things they normally wouldn’t do.

One look at Riley, the hot guy who is supposed to drive her to her vacation rental house, has super-organized, kind of persnickety, schedule-every-minute and budget-every-dime research librarian Nan Galvin chucking her plan...more

Librarian Tiernan "Nan" Galvin wasn't planning on a vacation romance. She went to Ireland to learn more about her mother who died many years ago. But then she met Riley Quinn, a hot Irish musician and her carefully planned itinerary fell apart.

As Nan falls in love with the wandering Riley, she also stumbles on a mystery about her mother. She's not sure if she wants to find out the truth because it will change everything she knows about her mother.

The Mighty Quinns: Riley is a sweet and sensual...more

As a lifetime Harlequin reader, I know what to expect when I pick one up. Upon occasion, I end up grabbing one that just blows me away....this was one of them :)

A story that not only pulled me in, but left me weak in the knees :) But of course, that is what Blaze is famous for :) Ms Hoffman has done a wonderful job in not only creating characters and a tale that kept my attention and caused me to huff when interrupted, but gave me such vivid images that I "felt" as if I was right there with them...more

Loved this book! It's so well written. It's the first of The Mighty Quinns I've read, but definitely not the last.

Quirky, hot and fun everything a Blaze book should be. Well worth reading.
Really, the cover pretty much sums it up. Smeh.

Kate began reading romance in 1979 when she picked up a copy of Kathleen Woodiwiss's Ashes in the Wind. She read the book from cover to cover in one very long night and was immediately hooked on the genre.

The next morning, she was standing at the door to her local Waldenbooks and when they opened, she hurried inside and asked for everything else written by Woodiwiss. At the same time, she found wo...more
