Okay, we got half a story and the beginning of another story and then it literally says go watch a film to find out the rest...

I'm sure this is a good story but it seems more like a promotion than a work of art which, I guess, is art because the promotion was well drawn and well written.

Weird and puzzling why it exists as anything else but promotion.

Half a story and the beginning of a new story IS NOT a story.

I've never seen either film or read the book by Charles Portis but this quick little graphic novel tale does a good job in telling me what it's about and certainly peeks my interest into seeing the film's and reading the actual novel. Cogburn seems like a badass that's for sure and he's certainly got grit!

This was really well done for a one-shot movie tie in comic, suffering only because it was only one issue and was forced into the mold of a movie prequel. I would have loved to see what this team could have done with an ongoing series. Great if you got a free copy from your local store, not something you should buy.

TERRIBLE execution of a ebook graphic novel. the images can't be enlarged. the illustrations and words are rendered nearly useless. The rendition of part of the story is interesting enough.

I don't usually read Westerns, but this wasn't bad.

A good idea, but in my opinion not enough effort was put into it to really justify its existence. Worth a read if you can get it for free, though.
