Bobbi had always wanted to find Mr. Right. But, as a young, independent woman in her late 20's, Hollywood was probably not the right place to find him, especially in the 1950's. Just when she thinks she's found her Prince Charming, she gets involved in something sinister. Bodies are appearing all over town, and if she doesn't figure it out, she'll be the next murder victim...more

My initial rating for this book was two stars. I thought it was okay. However, this book keeps coming back to me! I read it immediately after reading the classic Roots by Alex Haley for my book club. I realized that timing sometimes makes a difference in one's impression and review of a new book, especially since this is a first novel! A great effort. Its formatting for Kindle had issues and for me, it was missing in detail, description and I couldn't visualize well. It is set in the past but th...more

Set in 1950 Hollywood, Bobbi, a pretty, young, law firm secretary falls for her boss’s handsome visitor when he calls in to the firm’s offices wishing to speak to her boss urgently. It’s not long before he has dragged her into a depraved world of prostitution. At the same time a serial killer is on the loose, murdering girls bearing names of famous actresses of the 50s. Two detectives are committed to finding the killer. Bobbi’s and their lives become intertwined in the hunt for this sadistic ki...more

was a great first book for Kori! I thought at times that the plot was predictable but then something totally random and unexpected would happen to keep my attention. Finished the book in 24 hours just because the craziness kept me reading!

"Murder on the Boulevard" is Kori Donahue's first novel. She has really worked hard to get this book into reader's hands and once you get ahold of it you won't want to put it down until you're done and even then you still might not want to put it down. It's set in old Hollywood and gorgeous women with famous movie star names are turning up dead all over the town. Donahue will keep you guessing up until the very last page.

A good first novel. The storyline dragged at some parts and felt rushed at others but overall it was a good read .... Was a little bummed with the 'To be continued' aspect because it felt unnecessary .....
