May Mostly Romance
How to Lose a Guy in 10 days

I read this a while back. I absolutely loved the characters and love forward to reading the other books in this series.

Your Planet or Mine? and My Favorite Earthling
#3 Otherworldly Men trilogy

Read in 2007 --- just loved this fun, well written series! Such a treat!
How to Lose an Extraterrestrial in 10 Days - Otherworldly Men, Bk 3 by Susan Grant

Evie Holloway's brother married the Queen of the Galaxy, her sister is in love with the escaped former consort to the queen. Evie is divorced and her ex is a real jerk.

Reef a bioengineered assassin's computer implants have malfunctioned to the point he almost died, the secret service needs a place to stash him so the men in black don't get a chance to dismantle him.

It's an unlikely alliance broken hired killer and

LOVE!!!!!!!! I think I loved this one the most. I related to Evie the most, which was silly really, because I'm way more like Jana from Your Planet or Mine?. I have something a soft spot for reformed bad guys and Reef was the ultimate reformed bad guy. Moreover, I love bad guys who are 'bad guys' because of other people's actions - they break my heart. Watching Reef become human again, and then fall in love with Evie was just brilliantly executed. The whole 'love at first sight' between two peop ...more
Reread. I really like this one. It was the first one by the author I ever read, and I picked it up several times and debated over whether to purchase it or not. I finally caved, and am glad I did. (the rest of the series, wasn't as good, I thought). a homemaker. I can relate. Her ex dumped her because she wasn't exciting or a bean pole (also known as her ex was a douchebag) Eriff, or Reef, as he's called, is much like the characters in a certain highly popular video game series. He was ...more

Enjoyable, not great, but a pleasant read.

A human boy from another planet was implanted with computers and trained to be an assassin. As an adult, his computers were tampered with in an attempt to kill him, in connection with his trip to earth, but some earth scientists removed the computers and saved him. He is now mostly human and spends 10 or so days with Evie a divorced suburban mom while he heals and awaits decisions. He and Evie fall in love. He had never had sex before and his first time
The beginning on this was super-cute, if a bit heavily in the wish-fulfillment vein (He's a sexy assassin! Who loves my suburban lifestyle! He's sensitive! And likes taking the kids to their swim-meets!). But nothing really happened with the plot, so I got bored about 2/3 of the way through. Also, the heroine's committment to ending international slavery as a plot angle would have been a bit more effective if we saw her DOING more about it earlier in the book. I basically gathered that she once ...more
This was a good solid 4. The hero was outstanding, and the heroine was very likeable and intelligent. If you don't usually read sci fi/futuristic romance (I don't) and want to get your feet wet, this might be a good place to start. It's not too heavy and really focuses on the romance. I do have to wonder whatever happened to the mafia who made a menacing appearance at the beginning of the book & weren't really mentioned much after that, but if you look more at the romance and less at the dra ...more

I find that I’m really not into extraterrestrial romance. The story itself was an average read and the author took way to long (the last ¼ of the book) to get the two main characters into bed. But, I suppose she thought it was justified drawing out the sexual tension between the experienced earth woman and the virgin space alien. All It did was frustrate me. Still she kept my attention throughout this one time only read.
Bludgeons the reader with the author's (or one of the author's) pet socio-political issues. The author needs to give it a rest and try to remember that romance novels are about escapism and shouldn't be used as a soap box. There are more subtle (and therefore more effective) ways of getting the message across.
Normally, I don't like books that turn a previous villain into a hero. This book did just that, and it worked. Part of the reason would be because you started seeing the change in Reef in the first book of the series. Then, once you hear his story, you can't help but love him.
Pretty great book! And this is coming from a person who hasn't read any other books by Susan Grant. I loved how Reef used to be a total bA, but had to let his softer side come out to be with the woman of his half-alien/half-cyborg dreams!
Dawn ♥ romance
This story is one of my favorites about earthling Evie Jasper maker of chocolate treats who is housing alien hit man Reef. I've recently discovered Susan Grant. She has a good mix of action, humor and sex.
How to Lose An Extraterrestrial in 10 Days was the first Susan Grant book I ever read. What a fun read! I could not put it down and finished it in one day. This is a definite re-read for me!

Cute story. Loved that the heroine didn't second guess what her heart and gut were saying and didn't take forever to fall in love. Very sweet ending.
This book was really sweet. I felt bad for Reef, but at the same time I was squeeing when he got to live like a human.
Wonderful series. This is number three.
When bad boys go good... yum.

I'm a US Air Force veteran, jet pilot, a RITA award winning, best-selling author, and mom.

If “Dad” were a science fiction story and “Mom” were a romance novel and they had kids, that’s what my books would be, hybrids of two fiction genres, science fiction and romance. I've been combining the two since the late 1990s, before anyone called it sci fi romance and deemed it a "new" niche genre, back w
