I was a little hesitant to read this book when it was suggested to me, both because it is over 10 years old and because of the issues that have arisen around Ted Haggard since it was written. But it is an insightful, helpful and inspiring book about "free market small groups." He lays out a great argument about why loosening control for small groups can maximize their effectiveness. I'm really intrigued by this idea and how it could work in our church context. My only complaint is the book slows...more
