I'm not even going to bother with an in-depth review. I read the first half and skimmed the second. Most of the book was boring, even when I got to the part where there was supposed to be some sort of conflict. I found the entire character of Luke to be completely unnecessary and his parts seemed like they were only stalling the reader, while we waited for something to happen later. The only reason I didn't give one star is because I wasn't necessarily upset over anything - I just found my mind ...more

Ok it's almost 6 AM, so I am not even going to try for a coherent review right now, I just want to get some thoughts down before I pass out and forget something.

*looks at all the 4 and 5 star reviews* My god, did we really read the same book?

First off- editing. Horrible. Missing commas, run on sentences, even a couple of words that I don't think really exist. "blaringly" obvious? I think she meant glaringly.

Alex's body. Chiseled. Rock solid. Sculptured. Hard. Delectable. Strong. Bulging muscles
Great second book in this series! Where the first one was a sweet teenage, low heat, romance, this was taken to a different level, and very enjoyable. Terrific chemistry between Alex and Valerie, and the secondary romance with Romero really added to the overall story. I liked that the focus was not only on Alex and Valerie, but the characters we loved from the first book were brought in to the mix and we got a taste of where they were in their lives. My only complaint was the issue with Luke, it ...more
I hope I'm not developing a habit because I've always read every book from the beginning to the end and tried really hard to finish it no matter what, but I really couldn't make myself finish this book.

Since I spent many hours browsing the internet, searching for the books by Elizabeth Reyes because the blurbs for the books reminded me of Fuentes brothers (like every other Goodreader...:) and I was desperately trying to get my hands on them, I was very dissapointed when I started with Always Be
such an awesome story !!!! there were only a few things that bothered me about it. but I'm pretty sure its cuz I'm zoo picky about, romance timing. but besides that it was great ! Alex is the alpha male i love ! He knows what he wants,, (when he realize's it) and goes after it. Val has been in love with Alex for years..... On and off the couple was for a while and then she catches him with a girl at his house and breaks it off. A year later their paths cross for Sarah and Angels wedding. Val is ...more

I devoured Always been mine, it was intense, fast paced and completely addictive. I have to say... *sigh* Alex...hotheaded, intense, alpha, protective, possessive and so very yummy...Reyes sure knows how to write her male characters!!!

Always Been Mine is once again written from both characters perspective and I LOVE that!!! Also I LOVE that Sarah, Angel, Eric, Sofia & Romero are so involved in it because they are such a big part of why I love this series so far!! I've got to say though that
From my critique partner :)
Alex is Eli's gift to bad-boy-loving, alpha-adoring girls everywhere. You could say that he's a tad possessive... ;)

Not as good as Forever Mine but still a really great read. I can't wait for Sal's story and Sofia's novella.
Val and Alex's story was so intense and so passionate my heart is still racing. It is so much fun reading this series because I have fallen in love with all of the characters. The interaction, horse playing, and relationships between everyone feels so genuine. You can tell they really love and care for each other.

I felt that this story is a lot more intense than Forever Mine because Alex is so intense. His presents, his feelings for Val, his responsibility to keeping the family business doing w
Bk 2 and this series is still going strong. The group is in their early to mid twenties now and this bk progresses the relationship of the characters from the last book – Angel/Sarah, Sophie/Eric and friend Romero who meets the girl who’ll be the subject of bk 4 “ Romero” to be released in December. We also get a bit more of Sal, the oldest Moreno brother. But Alex – LOL! What a hot head. You really need to read Forever Mine – the first book to get a handle on how the Alex/Val relationship start ...more
Once again i loved this book as i knew i would... The tension and desire between Alex and Valarie was unbearable i could not wait for Valarie to realise that she could not be without him and that Alex needed to get her back no matter what then when Valarie finally did realise there was no one else for her there was the problem of Luke oh and i loved the story line of Bruce the psycho...This was more erotic than the first one becuase they are older and it made me love it all the more...I love the ...more

Always been mine is the second Moreno Brothers book, but it is transitioning from Young Adult Romance to Adult Comtemporary Romance. In Forever Mine, we follow Angel and Sarah through love, laughter, and tears; with just a side salad of Alex and Valerie's wild sex craze. Always been Mine digs deeper into that romance, and finds that emotions run much deeper than the occasional hook up previewed in the first book. After a disasterous spy mission, Valerie has given up on the relationship she knows ...more

I LOVE this series!!!! Always Been Mine was amazing and I think I liked it more than Forever Mine! *Squeal!!*

Always Benn Mine is the story of Alex Moreno and Valerie. The story is different from Forever Mine, while Forever Mine was more on Angle and Sarah falling in love Always Been Mine focusing on Valerie not wanting to be in love with Alex and some other issues in their relationship. They sort of get into this Here We Go Again relationship which, to my
Actually I would give this book 4.5 stars. I really loved this book. It have everything... suspense (& I mean, I actually screamed & through my kindle across the room), romance (smokin' hot alpha male), humor, drama, & everything else in between.

The best thing about writer Elizabeth Reyes is that she makes you really care for her characters. They are so realistic & fun, you feel like you know them in real life.

What I loved about this book: It wasn't a predictable book (which is
I think this one is my favorite. I loved Alex in FOREVER MINE. And his story with Valerie Zuniga was just told so well. Elizabeth Reyes is a great storyteller and can write emotions so well, it's amazing. The Moreno Brothers' are a great set of guys with some demons, but they love with all their heart and can get really caught up in a relationship, even when they don't want one. I really liked that this story takes place about three years after the first book. So they're all adults in their 20s. ...more
Hooray! No funky line breaks this time! No awkward spacing! A few typo's but nothing huge. It was so much easier for me to focus on the story through this book instead of all the strangeness with the format of the book itself. For those who read Forever Mine, you will probably be excited to know that you get some updates on Angel and Sarah and the rest of the crew. I felt like the flow of this book was MUCH smoother than its predecessor and the premise of the book was a lot stronger than that fo ...more
The shelf says it all. The heroine was the classic 'Oh, I have someone stalking and threatening me? Let me blow up at the guy who wants to make sure that I'm protected, hide things from him and and better yet! Let me walk around outside at night...alone.'

Right there is where my patience snapped. Right. There. She was completely wishy washy, tactless and just dumb as a rock in terms of what the hell she wanted and how she interacted with both the H, her boss and the villian. Speaking of the 'Hero
Autumn Review
I say it again, I LOVE this series!!!! This was my favorite book so far. I truly do love a strong Alpha male! Alex is just so intense and certainly yummy! Not only was the romance well done in this book, but there are other complexities to the story. They both had some pretty serious situations during their time apart and because of that, I think they were both able to appreciate the relationship they ultimately developed. I also enjoyed the suspense of the storyline and as a woman, genuinely fe ...more

As with Forever Mine, I didn't like the possessiveness of the love interest but something about these boys draws me to them. Maybe that they are possessive only of those they love, and that they don't really give that love so easily. I don't know, but I liked to story and the writing.

I have to add:
the cover on both books, but especially this one, are TERRIBLE and i put off buying both for a long time for that reason alone! My God Ms Reyes, I BEG you to do something different for the next books!

I didn't love this one as much as the first but I still loved it!!! I couldn't get enough of Sarah and Angel in Forever mine but I think what it really boils down to is I can't get enough of them Moreno brothers!!!! I love both Alex and Angel and their territorial ways!!! Got to love a man who has undying love for his woman. Can't wait to read the next :). Don't ever let the negative reviews bring you down Elizabeth Reyes.
For some reason I didn't connect with these characters as much as I have wih the 5th Street series. I did feel like the situation with Luke and the suspense with Bruce were dragged out a bit. I do enjoy this author's story telling so I will continue on and read more of this series.

2.5-3 Stars

Side note: There was a glimpse of Abel from 5th Street which I appreciated :)
The first book was a sweet teenage, low heat, romance, this one was more mature content. The only thing that I have to complain about is the Luke situation. It just got a little annoying after a while. Can't wait to read Sofie's story where we meet all of them when they were young and Sal's story seems like a good one too!

Emotional, steamy and even scary at times! Alex's story is another great read by Elizabeth Reyes. I saw many set-ups for the other books and it makes me excited to continue the story with the Moreno family. I loved Alex and Valerie, but Angel is still my favorite! Gotta love that Moreno pride and attitude!
Spoiler Whore says calm your tits people, it's just a book
Another great installment to the Moreno brothers. Alex and Valerie's story was frustrating but you can't help rooting for them.
Valerie and Alex have had an on again off again type of a relationship. When Valerie decides to see what would happen if she wasn't around Alex betrays what the two of them had. Valerie takes a stand doesn't want anything at all to do with Alex.
Alex is trying to keep his grades up because of football and stays away from Valerie as he can not tell her what is going on.
When a wedding brings them in touch with each other Valerie knows she still loves Alex but tries to fight it. Alex knows he want
Always Been Mine by Elizabeth Reyes Book 2 in the Moreno Series

In Forever Mine, the first Moreno book, we meet Sarah who lives with her cousin Valerie's family. When Sarah dates Angel Moreno and eventually become engaged after the ups and downs even out.
Sarah knows her cousin always had a thing for Angel's older brother Alex and so she introduces them.
Valerie and Alex go back and forth but neither wants a commitment, or that was how Valerie use to be.

In this book we find that Alex and Valerie ha
I liked this book... but I like reading about alpha males. I know they're controlling; I know they do crazy shit; but I just think it's hot ;)
I was more comfortable w/ this book because it was consenting adults getting it on instead of teenagers. Whew. Anyway, Alex was the typical dude who didn't want his chick to know he had to get tutors to pass his classes. I can see that... his pride & all, not wanting his girl to think he was lacking in skills. But, as we all know, pride goeth before a
Always been Mine is the second book in the Moreno series. The plot had more action for sure but I didn't like it as much as I did Forever Mine.
My first problem with it was the passage of time. Instead of continuing the story immediately after Forever Mine, there is a 4 years time leap, which made me think that there was good portion of the story missing. Alex and Valerie had had an on and off relationship for the past 4 years and they were currently broken up.
My second problem with it was Alex'
My first book by Elizabeth Reyes...... I liked this story and will read this series. I went out of order this is book #2 so I will have to go back one.

This is Alex & Valerie's story. Alex & Valerie have been off & on since high school. It was supposed to be a physically thing only but they both knew it was more than that. After Val finds Alex in a compromising position, Val breaks it off with Alex. Val is heartbroken & knows that she will never get over him. Val tries to get on w

“Angel clicked on a few more pictures on the screen, and Alex made small talk about the place. Then he finally walked away. He stopped just before walking out.

“Did Valerie say anything else to Sarah?”
Angel glanced back at him. “About what?”
“You know about that guy she’s seeing.”

Angel turned his attention back to the computer. “No, not really.”

Alex frowned. He wasn’t one of those guys, so he wasn’t about to keep asking. If Angel knew anything, he’d tell him. He’d just have to wait until the rehearsal dinner.

He started back out when Angel spoke up. “I’m not sure, because she didn’t actually tell me, but I overheard Sarah on the phone last night. It sounded like Valerie was telling her about him.”

“Yeah, what did you hear?”

Angel looked up trying to remember. Something seemed to come to him but he hesitated. “I don’t think you wanna hear it, Alex. I know I wouldn’t.”

Alex squeezed the doorway with his hand. What the hell could he have heard? “Tell me.”

Angel shook his head and looked back at the monitor. “Only reason I caught my attentions was because I overheard Sarah ask her something about wearing lingerie.”

Alex felt the hair on the back of his neck rise and his gut tightened. He banged his fist against the doorway. He didn’t need to hear any more. Angel had been right that’s the last thing he needed right now. He charged back out of the office, infuriated with himself. Why the fuck had he asked?”
“I love you Alex.
I don‘t think I‘ll ever get tired of hearing you say that sweetheart. He lifted himself on his elbow and kissed her. I love you too. Forever.
Valerie still could't believe the impossibility of this night. If she woke up in her bed and this all had been a dream she was going to kill someone.”
