It is always a delight to come across a resource that is far above the other offerings in that same category. The Story For Children is in that class. The book is downright hefty simply because it is packed so full of God's messages to His people.

Max Lucado, Randy Frazee, and Karen Davis Hill, have put together a publication that will aid you in teaching your child about the major themes of the Bible. They have chosen forty-eight of the pivotal stories from Scripture. Each chapter unveils an imp

I went backward with this one. First I saw a glitchy digital advanced copy that got me excited by kept it from me. Then I discovered the small sized deluxe edition. IT wasn't until now that I really got to experience The Story for Children: A Storybook Bible. While you already know I like the compact deluxe edition, it doesn't quite compare to this gorgeous lap size jacketed hardcover. This is beautiful and a treasure to pour over. We love The Story for Little Ones so much I'm going to have to l ...more

As long as I can remember, to me, Max Lucado has been a trusted name and source in Bible study and devotional resources. When I stumbled across The Story for Little Ones I could not be more pleased. Little Ones encompasses ages 2-5 while The Story for Children: A Storybook Bible I believe is meant for ages 4-8. This is part of a large campaign that includes all ages. The Story for Children (early elementary), The Story for Kids (later elementary), The Story Teen Edition, God’s Story Youth Editio ...more
I love the artwork and the bible stories are written very well. I wish it had a few more like Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego and the fiery furnace; but it also has some things that are not in most children story bibles like the little bit about Isaiah and Jeremiah. What compelled me to buy this was the artwork. Painted in beautiful colors and it looks somewhat realistic; at least not cartoonish. I can't wait to use it at church and in my preschool classroom.

In this text, children learn the basics of Christian beliefs. They learn about Christianity's belief in a single God, and they learn about Christians' beliefs about what that God has created. This book provides an illustrated, kid-friendly version of the bible's story, beginning with God creating the universe, and ending with the promise of Jesus' second coming.

Max Lucado has touched millions with his signature storytelling writing style. Awards and accolades follow Max with each book he writes.
