This was a fun and fascinating read. The sexual tension between the characters was fantastic. The hero is determined and has an edge to him which makes for great tension when he's up against a formidable heroine. Well worth the read!

I haven't read a lot of time travel stories but this one intrigued me. The fact that there was an FBI agent and people being attacked really drew me into this story. I love a good romance story but I am also a mystery/horror fan.

Rife is a hard working FBI profiler. So hard working in fact that he is sent home by his superiors because they are afraid he will burn himself out. To Rife, Keva is a stranger who seems to know him almost better than he knows himself.

Keva can not die because she abused...more

While I’m not a big fan of soul mate stories, I am a fan of reincarnation ones, as well as Native American lore. I jumped all over this when I saw it, but unfortunately, its execution left it severely lacking.

It starts out all right, with Rife St. Cloud, an FBI agent on vacation, called in to look at a crime scene by his cop grandfather. The murder scene looks to be ritualistic, with six dead women, but as he’s looking at the woman at its center, she comes back to life. She is rushed to the hosp...more
I have to admit I had a difficult time writing the review of this book. I personally love a good love story. I especially love them when they involve magic and mystery. However for some reason I just couldn't get into this one. I love Native American lore and the involvement of it in this story was a refreshing change from the recent overdose of shifter novels I have seen out there lately. Maybe it was the fact that the novel seemed to move too quickly? Not in the sense of "oh my goodness the bo...more

This was the first book I've read by Misty Evans, and it was a pleasant experience. The story of two soul mates who were separated by death is very catchy from the beginning. Keva Moon Water was the Chief Priestess of the Moon Water tribe many years ago. After a binding ceremony of her's and her lover Kai's souls, and Kai's subsequent death by poison, Keva is now immortal.

"She was cursed with immortality, thanks to a spell gone wrong. The simple spell to reunite her with her soul mate, no matte...more

I received a copy of this for review from

I have to say that this story was quite the roller coaster ride for me. And still having finished it can't really decide if I fully liked it or not. The best I can do is layout first my likes then my dislikes about this book.

First off, the story as a whole was very well written. The mythology was brought to life and I got into the whole actual CSI type feel to it in the beginning. As writing goes it was very strong. I was impressed, and it w...more

I love the way Misty Evans gives you a little sexy fun between Rife and Keva, before Keva has to tell Rife who he really is, and things get serious. Rife can't understand why his desire for Keva is so strong. He can't be next to her without losing all control, and this is driving him crazy. After all, he is a professional FBI profiler. But Keva knows the truth about Rife, and she’s waited a thousand years to reunite with him--her reincarnated soul mate, Kai, and to correct the wrong she’s belie...more
Who doesn't have a soft spot for two souls who are fated to be together through time? WHO? I mean, it's probably hell on your dating life when you're waiting a thousand years for the hunk of man flesh you were separated from to find his way back to you and everything, but it has a nicely romantic ring to it, doesn't it? Yes, I'll freely admit it - the whole two souls thing gets to me. It's fierce and passionate and all that stuff that epic love is supposed to be. To throw in the type of tragedy...more

Soul Survivor by Misty Evans is a wonderfully written adult fantasy with paranormal element in it. I find myself enjoying it immensely though the beginning really did get on my nerves.

The pace was rather fast and gets my head spinning, but it is a good thing. I was rather intrigue with the story and I couldn’t put down the book.

Very good read, and I couldn’t get enough of the thrills, the sexiness and...more

I am not a huge fan of paranormal romance and I think it is because I can't seem to wrap my mind around the paranormal parts. I thought this book was well written as are all of Misty Evans's books, but it was harder for me to keep up. Misty did a great job with descriptions and I definitely felt what the characters felt. The romance part of the book was awesome. I really enjoyed the spark between Rife and Keva and how it was drawn out throughout the book. Their connection is what pulled me into...more
My thoughts:
This was a fast read! If you are looking for an entertaining yet compelling, read in one sitting book - - this one is for you! I enjoyed the book very much. The story revolves around Keva and Rife. They are great characters. We are given just enough background on Rife to make him somewhat of a mystery, but very intriguing. He is noble and brave, an FBI agent who is out to protect and save the innocent. Keva has spent a thousand years hoping to find her soul mate again. She is an incr...more
This book starts of with a murder mystery of multiple women, and just gets better as it goes. I love the plots twist and turns. I enjoyed the romantic tension between an immortal, a High Chieftess, Keva and her reincarnated soul mate Kai. This story was well built with strong native American background, and well formed characters. Even the bad guy you love to hate. This was an awesome read and a great book to recommend.

This was such a strong story, and so were the characters. It started with a thrilling, page-turning scene, and it never stopped. I'm not always a believer in soul mates in books, but in Soul Survivors, I believed that Keva and Rife were soul mates who'd been separated for 1,000 years. Their enemy was cunning and relentless, which made it even more compelling. If you're looking for a well-written, edge-of-your-seat story, this one is for you.
3 1/2 stars. I won this at , great site if you want to check it out!

The story itself was good, I liked Keva and Rife and the sexual tension was great. If the story had moved a bit faster I think I would have enjoyed it more. I would say it’s a great afternoon read for the summer.
