I'm a sucker for Holiday romance, and this book didn't disappoint! Christmas on Conrad Street is a holiday romance between two brothers--Norwegian--and two lucky ladies in Misty Harbor, Maine.
The whole story centers around the grandfather--bestefar--or HANS-- and his potential Alzeimers. It is a heartwarming, lovely story with twists and fun. I found myself laughing, getting hot and crying all at the same time:) A great book, and a keeper on my bookshelf! I will definitely be checking out Marci

The 2nd in the Misty Harbor series.

Another cute book. The one focuses on the Norwegian twins, Erik and Gunner. Erik's interests lie with Dr. Sydney Fletcher, sister to Gwen from Catch of the Day. Gunner has his sites set on Maggie Franklin Pierce, mother to little Katie.

So far, this series puts a lot of focus on the older generation. The first book had Jonah and Clarence as secondary characters. This book has Hans, grandfather to Erik and Gunner. He is possibly dealing with Alzheimer's and his r

Christmas on Conrad Street is the second book in the Misty Harbor series. After reading the first book in the series, I was anxious to read about the twin vikings, Erik and Gunnar. In this book we get two romances for the price of one!

I loved the story between Erik and Sydney. They were a perfect match for each other and I felt the chemistry between the two as soon as the met. Their romance was sweet and caring. I also loved how the author made sure to include the characters from the previous bo

I like how people are somewhat 'real' in Misty Harbor and yet still has the small town mystique.

What I enjoyed:
* 'Real' characters. Hans was a bad father and is dealing with a possible crippling illness. Sydney mentions the long hours she works. Stuff like that.
* The small town where just about everyone is welcoming and you get to read about people you already like as well as add new ones to the list.
* Two stories in one as both Eric and his twin Gunnar find love this time out.

Syd has been to Misty Harbor a few times because her sister owns the local restaurant. Sydney is settling in great and gets along with everyone, but Erik makes her a little woozy. There are 2 Vikings that live in town and they are twins. They are both looking for love and kids. Erik has to depend on Sydney to help with the diagnosis of his grandfather who has been ...more

If you are looking for a slighty 'naughty' Christmas romance, then this may be the ticket..

As someone who majored in Scandinavian Studies (with an emphasis on Norwegian language), it was pretty difficult for me to not be excited about this book, and also not read it with my 'professional' hat on.

I did enjoy it in the moments when I wasn't thinking too hard about the author's presentation of Norwegian language and some of the things she implied about norsk kultur.

However, if you couldn't care les

It was a touch too light for my taste. It was so predictable, I found it difficult to keep interested after reading about half of the book. The characters are a little too simplistic and not very mature. I liked the first book of the series, so perhaps I was just not in the mood for this one.

Not quite as strong as the others, but it was nice to read this and take a break from what I have been reading. The crisis in their relationship was a bit on the silly side and fortunately Sydney realized it.

Great Christmas story. Cheating guys lose the best women. Sydney and Erik's story is sweet. I love all the cookies and Erik's dad is a hoot! Very sexy and sweet!
