This non-fiction book is the book of immigration. America has always been a great attraction to immigrants and people from all over the world come here to stay. This book talks about the many different immigrants who came here and when it all began; with Siberian hunters. A siberian hunter is where immigration first began, and then came European immigrants, slaves, Scotch-Irish; there is also discussion of the anti-immigrant attitudes that many people had. A good introduction to the history of American immigration. A good jumping off point or lesson for elementary students. Interesting enough for students to read themselves.
