Damesverband : Zijn allerbeste vrouwenverhalen is a selection of twelve of Heeresma’s best short stories about women, written between 1962 and 1992.

One of the best stories in this book is, in my opinion, Anna, an exceptionally beautiful but at the same time incredibly sad story about a woman suffering from agoraphobia and living on pills and cigarettes.

Simon Heere Heeresma, was a Dutch author and poet.

Heeresma was born in Amsterdam. His first collection of poetry, published in 1954, was called Children's Room, but his breakthrough came in the 1960s and 1970s in the Provo generation. Especially well received was his publication Melancholic Stories for around the Central Heating of 1973.
