Sometimes, a sequel doesn’t always live up to the dearly loved predecessor in the series. This is most definitely NOT the case with Immortal Beloved. This book was amazing! It was everything a sequel should be and more. As Mina Singer nurses a broken heart, she must pull herself together and embark on a perilous adventure to Egypt, where she will try and save her knight in shining armor, Blake Beldevier, from a horrifying, real-life nightmare.

When I was younger, I dreamed of traveling to far a...more

Immortal Beloved, the sequel to the amazing Forest of Adventures, leads us back into the life of Mina Singer. Mina is lost without her beloved, Blake Beldevier, and struggles to cope with the overwhelming pain and sadness that now blankets her existence. The reality that she is partly responsible for breaking her childhood love’s heart and landing him in a coma, along with Blake’s exile, his brothers death and the ruin of Meadowlake is taking it’s toll, looming heavily over her conscious and lit...more

I enjoyed the first book but this one was definitely my favourite, there was even more action and adventure in this one and I felt I could keep up with what was happening more easily in this story. The only thing that I didn’t prefer was the cover, although after reading the story I can see why it is relevant but I just personally preferred the first.

At the beginning of the book you can feel Mina’s overwhelming sadness screaming out at you through the pages, she feels so lost and alone and I thi...more

What would you do if you thought you’d lost the love of your life? How would you feel? Would you walk through the depths of the afterlife to save your true love?

I am so proud Mina would cross the darkest of paths for Blake. I know I would.

Immortal Beloved is the sequence to the beautiful The Forest of Adventures, The Knight Trilogy written by Katie M. John.

Every book sequence makes me worry, will it be better than the previous book, will the characters’ develop their personal conflicts alongsi...more

Life wasn't meant to be easy but surely Mina deserved a break, first off she fell madly in love with Blake a real life knight and was introduced to a world only known in fairy tales and stories of King Arthur. Then the evil witch Morgan turned up and it all went to hell literally. Now Mina must embark on a journey to save Blake from his fate with her most trusted friends and even if they somehow succeed in getting to him in time, it will only be a Pyrrhic victory. I really enjoyed this book and...more

I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC copy of this book from the lovely Katie M. John and I am so happy to have had the opportunity to read this great story while others are still pining for it!

I found myself enchanted by The Forest of Adventures, and this sequel is sure not to disappoint those who fell in love with John's characters and world. This book follows Mina as she ventures to save Blake from the darkest of evils, Morgan. Mina's intense loyalty to Blake is wonderful. Even though she...more

Now Blake has gone, Mina is left alone. Now its time for the next installment where it’s up to Mina to save Blake along with her ex boyfriend Sam and best friend Delta’s help!

The beginning is very powerful, strong, effective and I feel sorry for Mina. I love Mina and Delta’s relationship and I can tell it will be strong. Through the beginning of the book I started to feel very attached to Mina, like she is my sister, I want to protect her. I think everybody can relate to the pain Mina feels, I...more

Okay, so...
If you by any chance didn't read The Forest Of Adventures, I recommend you to do it ASAP.

If TFOA was great, Immortal Beloved was fan-freaking-tastic!

Even the cliffhanger is so good, you just need more.
I loved the characters, their decisions and journeys.
I loved Katie's writing, some quotes that made me teary eyed.
I laughed, cried, giggled, aww-ed and screamed in frustration in this book. Not to mention my heart stopping once or twice.

So, without any further ado, because I can't give...more

Finally i got to read the sequel to the "forest of adventures' after waiting, what feels like, a lifetime!
I really enjoyed this book!
Again it reminded me of Twilight in some ways of description etc but that didn't put me off because the plot is different and so is the story, only same similarities.
It didn't take me long to read and from start to finish i read eagerly over every page, taking in their world with every word.
Such a fun book and interesting to say the least!
Definitely a series to t...more

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Mina is lost in her own little world after losing her beloved Blake. She feels as if her heart has been torn from her body. But she struggles to regain her life without him while at the same time she is hurting from the pain that she knows that she must have caused Sam when their relationship ended so abruptly well to Sam that is how it must have felt.

But later Mina...more

Oh My Goodness this book is awesome. This book has it all; it’s a young adult romance with fantasy included, oh so good!

Number two in the trilogy and it is perfectly awesome. Follows on from number one and leaves it open for number three. Mina is still coming to terms with losing her best friend and her boyfriend. She is struggling through her daily life and has made a new friend in Delta. Delta is helping her cope and giving her a new reason to live. Mina and her mother still don’t seem to be a...more

Immortal Beloved, book 2 in The Knight Trilogy series and the sequel to The Forest of Adventures.

**********The Forest of Adventures Spoiler Alert**********

The way Mina is handling Blake’s departure is just heartbreaking. I think we’ve all been there to some extent and can empathise with the pain she is going through. Since Blake left, Mina’s Uncle Josef has been the shoulder she can cry on, the one who will wade through the misery right along side her because he too knows what it feels like to b...more

loved these books and want the next one when can I have it?

Mina is the hero of the story...one which begins with great sadness. It is almost to difficult to read how the events of the first story have affected Mina's life. But, when the need arises, Mina rises to the occasion. Her strength and the love and support of her friends (I love Sam & Delta) helps her to do seemingly impossible things to save the one she loves. This story is a wonderful mix of mystery, romance and fantasy...and the cliffhanger at the end leaves you anxious to read more!!
