Once estranged from his family and living the hard and fast life on the rodeo circuit, Brody Creed is now back at Lonesome Bend. Reconciled with his family and his twin brother Conner, Brody is just a touch envious of his brother and cousin Steven who have settled happily into marriage with their respective wives.

Carolyn Simmons has found a certain amount of contentment in her life in Lonesome Bend. She has a job, a small apartment and friends. But Carolyn yearns for more, never having
Brody and Carolyn were my favorite couple in Miller’s Creed series. And I wasn’t expecting that, because (1) I don’t typically like romances where the hero/heroine have a history, and (2) I was feeling a little Creed burn out before I got to this book.

I loved that this continues the stories from her earlier books, but I never felt that it overpowered their story. Tricia and Conner are in the honeymoon stage, but I enjoyed that their romance elevates their other relationships (friendships, famil

Oh my, oh my, oh my . . . those Creed men just keep our mouths watering and our hearts palpitating, and good ole boy Brody is no exception. Playing the bad boy of the family, estranged from his twin brother Connor for a decade, showing up in Lonesome Bend only now and then and leaving the responsibility of their jointly owned ranch to Connor, Brody was a man who seemed to live in the emotional shadows and even those closest to him most of his life felt excluded and shunned.

But Brody has now com

Review by Jen: This story is supposedly about Brody Creed (as the series has been following the Creed clan), but really, the star of this book is Carolyn, his love interest. Carolyn is a complex character and one that you're just drawn to. She's lead a hard life, first being abandoned by her mother, then surviving the foster care system and then leading a "gypsy" life -- floating from one job/place to another, but never really settling down. But when she lands in Lonesome Bend, she found a place ...more

The Creed Legacy by Linda Lael Miller is the third and final book in her Creed Cowboys trilogy.

After years on the road and a devastating personal tragedy, Brody Creed has finally come home to Lonesome Bend, Colorado to make amends with his twin brother, Conner, and the rest of their family. Brody also wants a second chance with Carolyn Simmons, a woman that he once had a relationship with but left behind. The attraction between Brody and Carolyn is as intense as ever, but Carolyn never really go
Tough cowboys, independent women, and a beautiful country setting. If you enjoy modern western romances, you are going to love The Creed Legacy.

Brody and Carolyn have great chemistry so it was disappointing that it took so long for them to get together. I felt the romance was dragged out for way too long. When they finally get together, it happened fast and furious. Brody and Carolyn spent a lot of time playing the cat and mouse game. I felt that Carolyn joining a dating website and her relationship with Bill was an unnecessary element of the plot. Her relationship with Bill was non-threatening to what she was trying to have with Brody. ...more
From the moment that Brody took in a poor, lost, hungry dog – I was 100% in his corner. Brody is the older twin brother of Conner and has returned to Lonesome Bend, Colorado. To stay after a decade of not being home. Being there with and for his family. Does Brody have a good reason for why he stayed away so long?

Will he stay? He is building a house after all. Then there is Carolyn Simmons who is a business partner with Tricia Creed, Connor’s wife. Tricia is not just pregnant. She is very pregn

I love westerns, and I usually love LLM. However, I just couldn't get invested in this story. The worst part for me was how whiny and wish-washy the heroine was. Carolyn could have been quirky and interesting, but instead came across as childish and petty. She had a reasonable grudge against the hero, but a five minute conversation (preferable one that could have happened about 6.5 years prior to the setting of the story) cleared it right up. Huh. These two must not be too bright. As for the her ...more
This was the last book of the Montana Creed series and I really liked Brody and Carolyn, and I liked their story. I have to admit though that Miller disappointed me on a couple of points in this book: Joleen and the horse. On both accounts, I kept expecting something big to happen in the story with them. More than once Brody even verbalized the concern that she would cause trouble with Carolyn . . . but she never did. And both Brody and Carolyn talked about, looked at, considered the dangerous h ...more

I am a Linda Lael Miller fan. Totally fan. I fell her in love with her work in 2009 when I checked one of her older books out of the library. Loved it. It totally engrossed me, and I was a fan for life. However, lately, I've slacked up on some of her books. I haven't kept up with what I wanted to in her series, but when the opportunity presented itself to review her most recent novel, The Creed Legacy, I jumped on it. It was so like going home after a long vacation! She totally gripped me with t ...more
This is the third installment in the latest group of the Montana Creeds series by Linda Lael Miller. Luckily for me Linda Lael Miller loves to write about cowboys and i love to read about them. This contemporary cowboy romance has just what you need if you crave a sexy Creed, some serious and humorous moments with a happy ending. All cowboy stories should have one of those right? Brody is one of twin brothers who were estranged from each other over the course of the past 10 years. In Creed's Hon ...more
This was the first book I've read by Linda Lael Miller and thus the first Creed novel I've read, though I've heard lots of good things about them in the past. I was glad once I started reading and realized that I didn't need to have read the other books to understand the plot of this one.

Brody has returned to "Creed Country" in Lonesome Bend after a haunting past and the reason he left in the first place that he's kept secret. Meanwhile, Carolyn is looking for Mr. Right after Brody broke her hea
I started this book in August and forgot to take it with me when we went on vacation, then one thing after another got in the way of me finishing it. Over the weekend we lost power for four days which gave me time to read, with flashlights or candles or book lights, but time without other distractions. The first night this is the book I decided to pick up and finish.

Earlier this year I read the first two books in this segment of the Creed story. This time I was finding out about the bad boy in t

Okay, I admit it, despite the fact that I live in the inner suburbs of a major city and spend my days anchored to a computer I have a soft spot for tree changes, simple livin’, and cow rustlin’. Perhaps it’s nostalgia for my family’s farming background, or just the fact that it’s bloody cold here in Melbourne right now and I’m yearning for some sunshine, but Lael Miller’s The Creed Legacy hit the spot for me.

Fans of arrogant, strong, testosterone laden cowboys with a secret past and a vulnerable side; and heroines who have great worth but just aren’t sure of it because of others cruelties in the past, will be sure to love Brody and Carolyn. Now throw in the matchmaking attempts of busybody neighbors, friends, and relatives and you have the perfect formula for a Western Style romance. This is book 2 in the Creed Cowboys trilogy and can be read easily as a standalone book. .

I'm very much a mood reader, so even though I read the first two books in this series over the summer and really enjoyed them, I put off Brody's book for as long as possible because I knew his history was the saddest. Now, I regret waiting so long because Brody's the type of character you don't leave waiting on the back burner.

Yup. Brody Creed. What can I say about him except that he's one helluva cowboy. I totally and completely fell in love with his 'bad boy', loner personality back in book on
Wow, this may very well be my first 1 star book. And I usually enjoy Linda Lael Miller's novels!

A lot of things annoyed me in this (and some just made me mad), which I won't go into again (if you really want to know, they are in my updates for the book - talking about them again would just make me mad. Again). Basically, there is a distinct lack of strong individual characters. There is the very obvious bias against internet dating (which, while something I personally have never done, is a perfe

Linda Lael Miller does it again with this novel. I was looking for something light hearted to read with (sorry) a definite good ending and this book did not disappoint. It was funny and serious. We always expect funny, caught off guard scenes from Linda; but this book had a sad note to it as well. In the end, the cowboy’s heart as well as the cowgirl’s heart will mend with the help of their love.

NOTE: This is third in the trilogy of the Creeds and by far my favorite book in the series. I have had a strong pull to Brody since the beginning (yep he was a book boyfriend) and was excited when his story did not let me down!

What I Loved: This whole series to me has been about regular folks coming together even though neither is really sure about going forward. For Brody and Carolyn it is even more heartbreaking becau
This was another great book by LLM. Brody was a carefree and non-committed cowboy who would rather be traveling on the road than settle down. That soon changed after he and his brother mended their fences and worked through their differences. I loved that Brody was genuine and passionate. What I didn't like was that he waited so long to tell Carolyn why he just up and left her one day. Carolyn was a great heroine. Independent, a survivor, and beautiful inside and out. What I didn't like was how ...more

The Creed Legacy is a wonderfully written story. It’s rather inspirational in some ways, and I found myself drawn to the characters inside this story. It was rather slow in the beginning, and it nearly put me off from reading, but the pace picked up soon after and I found that the story is rather tolerable.

The characters are realistic in many ways, and slowly, i come to
