Men Out of Uniform (Shadow Stalkers #2)
They may enforce the rules, but when men in uniform are off duty and under the covers, they're experts at breaking them. In this searingly sexy anthology, popular authors Maya Banks, Sylvia Day, and Karin Tabke present men in uniform-unzipped...

Men Out of Uniform is an anthology which will make you want a Special Ops or secret agent of your own to curl up with at night. Each of these stories takes you on a different erotic journey you just might not want to come back from.
Soul Possession by Maya Banks

Maya Banks' Soul Possession is a warm, sweet threesome. Truitt and Rick, detectives and partners are both attracted to Jessie. Neither is willing to give way to the other so they've been teasing and flirting with Jessie for some time about her coming home with both of them. Then Jessie is implicated in a murder and the guys quickly freeze up on her.

Soul Possession by Maya Banks - 3 stars
I am a big fan of Maya Banks so I was excited to dive into this anthology. I have to be honest and say, out of the 3 stories, Soul Possession was my least favourite.
Poor Jessie had a rough night. Fired from her waitress job after being accused of stealing, her bum knee acts up, she is whisked away from the bar by two gorgeous cops for a threesome and the next day is brought into t...more
Soul Possession – Maya Banks
Jessie spends a hot night with two sexy-as-sin detectives, only to be accused of murder the very next day. But when Jessie becomes the target of a serial killer, her two detectives will risk everything to have her back in their arms—and in their bed.
My Thoughts: I felt like this story was just rather rushed and scripted. In a way it read really like porn. The sex scenes were extremely graphic and the rest was just skimmed o...more
This book totally fell flat for me, though. I already knew going in that I wouldn't be thrilled simply because it's an anthology of "novellas" which are shorter than a normal book... therefore the stories are usually lacking i...more
A waitress is propositioned by two hot cops to spend the night with them. After their hot night together, they are in love and want something more serious (all three of them?!), but a serial killer targets her before "their love has had time to blossom"...
I don't like m/f/m combos, for sex scenes it's ok (i can deal with it), but not when they make it seem like a permanent functional threesome relationship is possible...

Sexy story about a special agent trying t...more
Favorite Quote: Hell, she had no idea what she was going to do with all this cock but she was sure as hell going to have a good time figuring it out.
Rick and Truitt have been partners in the police force for a long time. They are currently deeply involved in a serial killer case. Someone has been kidnapping women, only to let them go and then hunt them in the woods. Needing to let some stress out, they have decided tonight is the night they are going to take home the...more
Maya Banks's Soul Possession was written well, as most of her work is. However, the relationship between the three main characters was kinda campy. I'm not sure "campy" is the best word to describe it, but it's the only thing that comes to mind. The romance was so sweet...too sweet in my opinion. The menage a' trois between Jessie, Rick, and Truitt was so very po...more
Soul Possession by Maya Banks
This story is another Banks ménage about friends and detectives Truitt and Rick who are both interested in the same waitress, Jessie. They decide that since they both want her, they'll share her. They finally convince her to go home with them and the next day she's accused of murder. They guys struggle with whether or not they believe she's innocent while chasing down a serial killer. Very steamy. Bank's never disappo...more
Sorry, it's not my cup of tea. It doesn't say anything at all about Ms. Banks' writing. It's just me.
Sorry, but this time it's the writing that didn't work for me. The way some of the dialogues/scenes went, it felt like I was missing a page the way it jumps.
Taking the Heat:
I may be biased because I'm a big Sylvia Day fan so needless to say, this was my fave. I liked both H/h. The chemistry b/w the 2 didn't feel forced or contrived. If I'm being nitpicky, I...more
Hot cha chi-cha!
Smokin' hot. Just what I have come to
expect from, Maya Banks.
Wanted by Karin Tabke's
This is the first I've read from this author.
I loved the story. It was short and fast-paced.
But let's not forget the hot sexin'!
A part - the leak - left me feeling the story
Taking the Heat by Sylvia Day
Another sizzlin' story. Just as i anticipated
from Sylvia Day.
All of these stories fit well with o...more
Karin Tabke's story is good but it went too fast. I know it's just novella, but I feel unsatisfied. The story left me hanging and when I finished it, I was like, that's it? The ending could've been better than that.
Sylvia Day's story is good too, enough with angst and hot scene. I always fancy man in uniform, so it's not a waste to spent my time reading this book....more
Despite my lack of interest in both categories, I have tried to be objective while reading this collection of novellas--especially since there are both contemporaries and eroticas that I...more

Now who doesn't love a hot men out of uniform? Especially if they're Paul Marron!! This cover caught my eye a while back and I've been waiting for it to release since.
Soul Possession by Maya Banks
Maya Banks is a favorite author of mine, which is why I'm surprised I didn't connect with this story as much as I thought I would. Don't get me wrong it was hot, and the plot is ok, but there was no connection for me with the characters.
We have J
I liked the Banks story. I am not sure that I would have been as forgiving as Jessie, the guys did diss her pretty good after pursuing her for a while. I did love how she was able to beat the big bag guy, who was a surprise for me.
Tabke's story fell very flat for me. I had a hard time buying into any relationship between these two, let alone the one they had and the time lines they encountered. I also thought the hero was an ass, from the way...more
That's why it isn't all five stars, if it was just Soul Possession and Taking the Heat then it would be five stars. Great read. Gritty, intense and good plots... almost sad they were novellas instead of full novels themselves, could definitely had read more.
One of the leads I pictured as Stephen Amell.....
On my Bec's Book Blog entry I've got lots of photos of who I think would be good to play the main characters! This sure was a FUN entry to write ;). I would definitely recommend reading these novella's...more
Not one typo/editing issue in either story.
Each story pulled me in quickly, all with good plots. Plenty of action in and out of the bedroom.
Other reviews here provide sufficient details about each story. First story longest of the three.
