The prophecies were there but no one listened. Until now. They are the Lords of Deliverance and they have the power to ward off Doomsday . . . or let it ride.

Jillian Cardiff came to this remote mountain town to forget the demon attack that almost killed her. Instead, she rescues - and falls for - a gorgeous stranger who has no memory of anything other than his name. Hands...more

Before I begin my review, I have to tell you I am a bit biased when it comes to this book. You see, I was the winner of the “name a character and book dedication” prize Larissa had offered in a charity auction back in March of 2011. Originally is was to have the book dedicated to the winner and name a minor character in either the third or fourth book in this series but Larissa, being the amazingly kick ass person she is, gave me the option to wait and nam...more

EDITED to ADD: The Apocalypse: The Lords of Deliverance Compendium was added to the release version of this book. For anyone who hasn’t read through the Compendium from when it was released earlier this year, it is a must read. Not only does it give an incredible amount of info about the Demonica/Lords of Deliverance world; it also contains a vital story that explains the beginnings of Harvester/Lilith/Reaver, giving a broader picture of their convoluted relationships to each other.

I can only imagine how awesome this book is going to be. With everything he's done as pestilence. I can imagine what his falling in love and having to atone for his sins. Then having to make up with his siblings! Will make Lore and Sin bonding with the Sem brothers look like cake.

Ah.Fucking.Mazing!!! *Spoiler Alert, might contain a spoiler from a previous book..*

For Reseph, First Horseman of the Apocalypse, life as he knows it, is over. Having been the horseman whose seal broke and almost ushering in the End of Days, Reseph's memory has been wiped clean, and he's been sent to the human world to start over his life, to heal from the torment of Pestilence's actions over the last year. For Jillian, living in the remote mountains of Colorado is her safe haven. She's come her...more

Jillian Cardiff has moved to the home of her deceased parents in isolated Colorado following a demon attack. One day she stumbles across a naked man buried in the snow. When he finally awakes, he has no memory of who he was other than his name possibly being Reseph.

I'm just going to say it...as much as I liked this book, I was really disappointed!! What happened to the bad boy that we have been tempted by and teased about since book one?? There was no way I was expecting FARMER JOHN!!! And whil...more

More than 5 stars and Top Read 2012!

To sum my feeling right now after read this? This one is purrrrrrrrfect!

A perfect ending and HEA for Reseph and his ladylove Jillian Cardiff. I really hate Pestilence and what he do in the past. But, I can't help fallin' over head to Reseph. Rakish, charming but also make me want to hug him because he really regret his mistakes (as Pestilence) and want to start a new life. Jillian Cardiff is not bad and I'm glad she's so stron...more

When I pick up a new book by Larissa Ione I always feel like I’m returning home. After all, she is one of the first authors to ignite my love for the PNR genre and I cannot name you one book that has not blown me away with her riveting storytelling. Rogue Rider is no exception and once again Ms. Ione allows us to escape into a world I find myself never wanting to leave.

Light spoilers for those who haven't read the other books in the series

One of THOSE books

I have to tell you guys that I love everything that I’ve read from Larissa Ione, every book is better than the last. I was expecting to be so blown away by this book, but all the revelations have left me open-mouthed.

This book’s main characters are Resph and Jillian. Resph doesn’t remember who he is, doesn...more

Excellent final book in this explosive series, although I felt the declaration of love between Reseph and his honey too fast.

Also love Larissa's trademark humor with her characters. Reaver's reaction to a big humdinger of a spoiler is a hoot.

Bring on Harvester and Reaper's book! Let's hope it's filled with dirty, nasty hot loving.

Okay I have to start by saying Larissa, you are the BOMB!! I love your books. Can you do any wrong? In my eyes that is a big NO!!!
2nd I am so excited that I got a chance to read Reseph’s book early. The waiting has been killing me. I have been in love with Reseph since Sin’s book (so long ago). I just love the heck out this him. Even when he was that bastard Pestilence I still has mad love for his crazy butt. But boy howdy...more

It was difficult to rate this book because I LOVE this series but to be honest I found the first half of the book quite slow then the last quarter was really good but too short.

Hopefully Reaver's book will hold its promises.

WOW What a way to "end" the series. Larissa did not disappoint. I love the character of Reseph and the new person he has become versus the person that all the other horseman and watchers remember. Jillian is a fractured character that is believable and very likable. there were several times that I felt so bad for and love. Now I am not going to spoil the ending, but the big battle at the end is so amazing. It is movie worthy. I was exhausted after it was over. Also the revelations of several cha...more

First line: “It was cold. So fucking cold.”
Favourite quote: “I can’t promise that you’ll like who I was before you found me. But I can promise that my feelings for you won’t change.”

I’m not even sure where should I start with. This is Larissa Ione, after all, and those of you who read her series know for a fact that in her books there are many subplots running in the back...more

This was the best book so far <3 I loved every page of it and everything in it. I swear the only reason i anticipated this book was because of Reaver and Harvester (and oh my god, it seems that the next book will be about those two, kyaaaaaaaa) Oh my god <333 i loved all the revelations and just everything ♥♥♥ I have waited for this one for so long <3

Ohmigosh, ohmigosh! I finally read it! Reseph's book! *faints*

Sorry about that. It's just, I've been waiting for this book since Lethal Rider has been released. But, the torture caused by waiting is fine because the book is brilliant! I mean, I don't have a damn clue about what's going to happen.
Everyone, even his siblings, are angry at Reseph. And of course, if anyone managed to find out that he's Pestilence and that he's the one who brought the demons, either, the humans would fear him or just...more

Larissa Ione's writing is brilliant with a creative flare that had me glued to the story from the beginning to the finish.

The story picks up from the last installment of the Lords of Deliverance where Reaver (Heavenly Angel Watcher) erased Reseph's mind of all the deeds and carnage that Pestilence reeked habit on and then cast him from hell into earth somewhere.

The story brilliantly shows how Reseph's good side can out weigh all the evil bad side of Pestilence and control it w...more

RODE THAT HORSE HARD!!!

Reseph and Jillian

Alrighty... got a little taste of this book in the last one... and I've been salivating ever since... Thank God I finally got to read it!!!!

Reseph (Pestilence), from the very first Horseman book has been evil and hateful and just a black cloud raining over civilization... I was soooo excited to see he lost his memory and turned into a nice guy (Reseph)... for the time being!!! I think he's my f...more

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!

I wanted to give this 5 because Reseph is a well of HOTness and I can't decide if he's my favourite horseman, or if Thanatos is...

Anyway, I feel it SHOULD have been Reseph, but I felt he needed more humour, given his playboy, fun-loving background. Than's book (Lethal Rider) had way more humour in despite the darker emotional aspect.

I sort of feel this book should have been darker with all of Reseph's history as Pestilence, but for me, it didn't really go deep enough into th...more

I love Larissa Ione's writing, all of her books are very good so it's no surprise for me that Rogue Rider is another great story. I wasn't expecting to like it as much, thinking it would be hard for her to make me like Reseph, but after chapter one I was already hooked.

Jillian also made a very good match for the Horseman, I specially liked her no-nonsense attitude. Every romance has a stalling part in which the main couple thinks things won't work out, they're all doomed etc, and generally this...more

I whole heartedly admit to having a fangirl moment when this book arrived in my e-mail. If you are a paranormal fan and have not had the pleasure of encountering Larissa Ione, stop everything you are doing and start reading now! As I have said before, I was a paranormal romance fan before finding my calling at Guilty Pleasures and discovering BDSM, sexy cowboys with rope fetishes, etc. I was strictly a vampire, werewolf and shifter type of gal. Is there a way to give this book more than 5 stars? I hope so because it deserves it. I absolutely loved this book and Reseph is now my favorite of all the Horsemen. If you have not read the Lords of Deliverance series then do NOT start with this book. Start at book one (Eternal Rider) or even better start back at the very beginning with the Demonica series but do not read this book as a stand alone because you will be missing out on so much.

Oh. OH. Larissa Ione, you crafty, talented, sneaky lady, you. You totally snuck up on me with Reseph. First, after reading the first 3 books in the Lords of Deliverance and witnessing the hell & havoc that Pestillence aka Reseph wreaked on not only the world, but his own friends and family? Yup, I had my doubts. I LOVE, love a great anti hero ~ give me bad ass who's a marshmallow on the inside for his heroine and family and a total Bad Ass MoFo for everyone else any day ~ but I didn't see th...more

Notes: I read the eARC version of the book provided by the publisher via NetGalley. I will need to check quotes against the final copy. Assume any and all errors are my own because they probably are.

My synopsis of the book:
’There had always been two apocalyptic prophecies about the Four Horsemen, one catalogued by a demon holy book, the Daemonica, and one accounted for in the human bible. The differences lay in how their Seals would beak and what side the Horsemen would fight on…good or evil.‘

Larissa Ione has done it yet again. She has blown me away with her superb writing skills, lovable characters, and a world that is so lush it's hard to remember that it's not real.

I think Reseph's story was the one I anticipated the most. I loved his playboy character, his carefree attitude, and I was so curious to see how she would redeem him after his ugly transformation into the wicked Pestilence. I was also worried that the heroine in this novel wouldn't live up to my expectations. I have a...more

Larissa Ione has created a stunning world of the four Horsemen of the apocalypse. In this latest installment, Reseph- formerly Pestilence- is found naked, freezing in the snow after being freed from Sheoul by Reaver. He has no memory of his prior life and Reaver sent him into the wilderness with the hope that his mind has time to heal so he can gain his strength and fight off Pestilence’s influence with is still inside him.

His weak and near frozen body is found by Jillain, a woman with her own...more

Ione manages to take my breath away once again with the final book in the Lords of Deliverance Series. I always hate reading the last book in a series, because I most of the time feel like a series didn't end the right way. Well, let me just tell you that wasn't the case in this book.

Everytime something comes out from Ione, I literally drop everything and read it. Ione is my favorite Author and she never ceases to amaze me with each and every book she writes. This book was no exception, I feel t...more

AND this was fantastic! I was not so sure about this one because Reseph was sooo evil as the Horseman "Pestilence". There is truth in the fact that a good woman can change a wicked man....but what if the wicked man has amnesia and doesn't KNOW he's evil?
When Jillian Cardiff runs and hides in a remote woodland cabin to forget a demon attack that nearly killed her, the last thing she expects to find is a naked, handsome man in a lying face down in a snowdrift. So she packs him up and takes him ho...more
