I just received my copy (signed) and I can't wait to jump in! I have read some excerpts and LOVE the style. It's very conversational and woman-to-woman truthful. The writing style is modern and brisk and FUN!

I won this in a FR. It was a quick book, but to be honest, the story didn't really flow. The format is strange...it's not really a novel with chapters, but really is a diary (as the title states). It's really as though she just published her diary and we are reading it. Each entry is a day and some entries are pretty random. This was a very sweet story. I loved the fact that this was a REAL love story. Katandra Jackson has a way of telling her love story that really captures the interest of the reader. My only issue was the way it was formatted. It sometimes felt more like a diary than a book. She also included internet "lingo" such as "lol" in the text. I'm not against using that when you're talking online or through text messages, but I felt that it was a little inappropriate to be in a book. Besides that, the sto...more

I really enjoyed this book! It gave off quite the impression of what planning a wedding is like: hard! I'm not usually one to site down an read a journal/diary style book, but this book is a rare book in that style that grabbed my attention, held on to it, and never let go until the last word was read. In my opinion, The Diary of a Bride To Be is a must read, whether your planning a wedding or not. I now understand better what it's like to plan a wedding. I'm glad I won this book on goodreads.
