Best of the series. Julianna's story. Rescued from a carriage accident by a Highwayman--the Magpie--Julianna's life becomes more interesting that she bargained for. SJ is a good story teller, I enjoyed the twist of the plot, intrigue, spies, murder, reunions and the resolution of the Sterling family. I'm glad I gave Samantha James' books a try.
He gave her kittens at the end of the book, so how could I not love it?
I was so wanting to read a book about a caring, adorable hero and am glad I came across this one. This was one of those stories where although predictable and simply lovey dovey romantic but I adored both H & h ..'Dane' was a darling!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed it :)

OH MY GOD! I finished reading this last night and I'm like.... this is the very best! I've read Justin's story, the perfect groom and I fell in love with him but daaammmnnn.. I fell more deeply in love with DANE! Julianna is one of the best heroines I know and I also adore her to the bones! I haven't yet read the first book because I've jump with Justin's story first and I wish there's more! I wish there's a fourth book with an all out epilogue! I love the Sterling siblings! and I cannot fathom ...more
The final book in the Sterling sibling trilogy, James writes Julianna's story. With high hopes for the author to wrap up the stories of characters the reader has become familiar with, the book does just that, but not nearly as well as the first 2 books. After 200 pages of the main characters, Julianna and Dane stuck in a cabin together recuperating from injuries, I was bored and wanted the story to progress. I finally skimmed the remainder of the book and read the epilogue just to read how it en ...more
Suka banget sama karakternya Dane, sikapnya pada Juliana benar2 sayang. dari bahkan dari awal ia memberikan panggilan sayang padanya, hmmm. awalnya juliana mengira ia baru saja di culik oleh perampok yang tengah santer ditakuti banyak orang. hingga ia kemudian berhasil mencuri pistol dari Dane yang tengah tertidur. ia berniat hanya menakut-nakuti Dane agar memberikan kunci cottage tempat ia dikurun, tapi tembakannya malah mengenai sasaran. ia tak tega meninggalkan Dane yang terluka dan malah mer ...more
Indeed Dane is a perfect hero ( # ^.^ # )
Historic Romance Oh, my heart!

I am one who rates books purely based on the degree my heart is engaged, and, in this book, I was the heroine.

It hurt so much (view spoiler)Hurt, hurt, hurt!

But the impossible dilemma Juliana finds herself in provides the perfect amount of tragedy to make this book truly memorable.

And, (hopping up and down in my excitement here!), we have a true

I Finally finished the Sterling trilogy! I must admit, I almost gave up during Juliana and Dane's Stay in the forest. It kinda dragged, but my trust in Samantha James' work kept me going, and she did deliver. I loved the ending about their mother. To me, that was unpredictable. It was not the simple happily ever after predictable story that you imagine when you start reading a story. It was intriguing, unpredictable and above all exciting.
I really enjoyed this one, the romance was well done and this being the last in a trilogy, it finished it off beautifully. I actually had tears in my eyes over the tender feelings shared between the Sterling siblings. That being said, I feel you have to read these in order to really appreciate and understand the depthness of the family relationships.
Since she was cruelly left at the altar at the age of twenty-two, Lady Julianna Sterling has resolved to have nothing to do with men. So she is shocked to discover she has unwelcome feelings for the very worst of the breed - a dangerous, unbearably handsome highwayman who has set upon her coach in the countryside and taken her captive. Worse still, her righteous ire turns quickly to disappointment when the irresistible outlaw sets her free.

Viscount Dane Graville knows he should not have revealed
After falling asleep repeatedly I finally, thank God, finished the book. It's not painful. I just find it *yawn* boring.
Pretty interesting at first but unfortunately lost my attention as the story progressed.
While predictable, this was a better than average regency romance.
I really liked it.

Luly, you need to get me some more books :)
Cruelly left at the altar, Lady Julianna has resigned herself to being alone. When she is abducted by a highwayman, she begins to think perhaps there is a future for her after all. The Magpie, as he is called, is really Viscount Dane Granville, undercover to bring down a murderous counterfeiter.

Julianna is an enchanting heroine and Dane is alluring as well. They both get on well with each other and their romance is sweet. There is definitely some tension with his secret identity that brings the

Juliana was left at the altar five years ago and has vowed to never marry or fall in love. Being kidnapped by the Magpie, seduced by him, and protected by hium still doesn't change her mind. His persistance wears her down and his kisses fill her with fire. A ghost from the past shakes the Sterling siblings, but they are well set in their own lives and have learned to let go. Great read!!

Why can I never find the first book in a series FIRST? Enjoyable characters, fun plot with enjoyable twists. Some good writing, some downright painful sentences; editors really need to do a better job - if a sentence has bad construction and mixed metaphors, please correct it!
I adore the Sterling family and the entire *perfect* series! I have no worthwhile complaints about this book. I read it in less than 24 hours since I couldn't hardly put it down.

Okay, maybe I can complain that Dane isn't an actual man! LOL

Much improvement compared to previous books. The story was not as blatantly cheesy, it still followed the same damsel in distress plot. All in all, I rather enjoyed the ending for the siblings.
3,5 stars and the best story from the Sterling trilogy for me.

4 years after abandoned on the altar, year after year being the pity and gossip object from the ton finally Juliana found her true love.

I liked it so much. I think it's an amazing bood with a clever dialogue among the characters.

Another great novel... and a nice ending to the series. I am so happy I found this series. I was sort of sad that there weren't other secondary characters to keep this one from continuing!
This was a good read. I liked Julianna and Dane was wonderful. I enjoyed reading their story. And enjoyed the HEA for all the Sterling siblings.

Easily the best of the series for me. The couple and their relationship were sweet and convincing.

Growing up in Joliet, Illinois, Samantha James had many childhood aspirations--being a writer was never one of them. When she was ten, she was certain she was destined to be an astronomer. That soon changed (happened a lot during those pre-teen years!) when she decided archaeology was in her future. Detective work was her next goal, thanks to the Trixie Belden mysteries she was reading, and before ...more
