Honestly, this book came across as a paean to annoying moneyed people. Leaving that out of my review, all I can say is that this is a good example of old-fashioned, very cluttered design with a bent on collecting objects from the third world. The interiors should remind you of your distant aunt nobody liked, who had all that money from her shady third husband, who your mom was pretty sure was shagging the ethnically mysterious pool boy. A truly interesting and idiosyncratic interior design book. Not all her rooms worked for me, but they fascinated me. Particularly enjoyed the way she showed changes she had made over time in her own living space.
Beautifully photographed and written. I have been waiting for this book! A compelling personal story woven into the evolution of an impressive career...
