I liked this one, it was a gentle, rather slow moving story whose characters and plot twists seemed realistic and logical. I see this is part of a series - I had no difficulty understanding the backstory though. The main characters, Matt and Ellen had some depth to them and were both likable although Ellen was definitely prickly at times. My only real complaint was the use of some modern phrases, like "check out the kitchen" or "sexual abuse" which probably would have been referred to as "unnatu ...more

Not sure why but to me this one was the best one. Not sure if it was cause of Matt's past or what, but I liked it alot.
