This quick little story asks some interesting questions. What happens to a person, and a relationship, when one persson loses a long time job that has come to define who that person is? Chris is a chef who has been successful for many years as the head chef foe a high quality restaurant. Everything comes apart one day when the restaurant burns, and the owner decides not to reopen.

I enjoyed this book. That’s not to say that there were multiple passages where I wanted to say…really? Chris and Matt’s story started six years ago with Love’s Evolution. The passing years have not dimmed their passion one iota. Which makes it really sad when Chris keeps pushing Matt away. I understand about needing space to collect your thoughts, but come on. Six years and a handfasting later, you would have thought Chris would have made better choices.

Wanted more and was a little disappointed it didn't have more but, true to form Ally Blue delivered a great read with hot scenes and a beautiful romance.
I would have rated it higher, but I absolutely LOVE Matt and Chris, so this was far too short for me.
Good short m/m romance in which Chris is suddenly out of work after 15 years and not doing very well at all with the situation.
It's a nice little story.... but way to short, I would have loved to read more about Matt and Chris!
