For Commander Christopher Montgomery, everything had a place and a time. At home, running Pittsburgh's Zone Six, he was a respectable, upstanding commander. On vacation, he was a different man entirely, hopping from one hot young stud to the next.

Then he met Kieran Phillips and his life turned upside down.

But that was five years ago, and now Kieran has decided it's time to

Note: this review is for both this book and its prequel, Sea of Sin.

It's been a while since I'd read a story that flowed as well as this one did. I'm one of those who appreciate good writing more than an original plot, and was very glad to see there were no awkwardly structured sentences or too many additional details no one cares about in this story. I was never bored or tired of the story and finished both books in record time. I didn't even skip any of the sex scenes, although there were plen

This didn't come into its element until past the halfway mark so if you're reading it and think it's rather meh before that, try to stick to it. Kieran and Chris do get more interesting though at the end of this 4th installment, their story is nowhere as good as David & Carver's.

Kieran already had a poor start with me in the short story, Sea of Sin, which is more a prologue to SoI than a prequel. If it had been written and released as SoI's prologue, I'm fairly sure I would have r
Can two men set in their ways make their holiday romance last in everyday life? The answer is yes. Even if the two protagonists have their issues, the author makes the decision too easy for them in the end. After playing it up so much, there's no real cost, no adversity. It felt a bit anticlimatic. The political/police department background didn't amount for much plot development either. Instead there's quite a lot of bedroom/wall/shower activities. Eventhough I usually prefer my m/m romance wit ...more
Darn! I really enjoyed Chris and Kieran's story, but since this is my first India Harper book it means I will now have to read all the others in the Creatures of Sin series.

The "to-read" list will have to wait, because I now want to know the story behind David Logan and Carver Eliot, who also appeared in Sins of Influence.
A great addition to the series! Already looking forward to the next one.
I am really enjoying this series.

You might already be acquainted with us in our individual guises of Philippa Grey-Gerou (India) and Emery Sanborne (Harper). We have been writing together for about five years, two of those professionally, and finally decided that since we share a brain, sharing a name only makes sense. As our co-written stories tend to be a little darker and have a slightly harder edge than our solo words, the se ...more
