well...if you're looking for something deep you will indeed be disappointed but this book is pure zombie-slasher, pure entertaining, deadly funny and yes that's about it all but well it is just a hundred pages after all, hardly enough time to write a walking-dead drama-like.
I just got through "needful things" by stephen King and "knights..." made a nice transition.

I'll be kind and give this one star, as I am sure that many will like it. I for one COULD NOT STAND IT, the characters were less than one dimensional and the only reason the story was not predictable is do to its total lack of connectivity and realism. Zombies invade a Renaissance Faire, and the bodice- and tunic-wearing denizens strike back. The fun concept alone earns a couple of stars. Unfortunately, the characters are completely one-dimensional, none of the protagonists have any relationship to one another, and the conflict is 100% free of tension. Three stars for a fun, inconsequential read, but lost one star for the laziest, most unsatisfying ending I think I've ever seen on the printed page.
