Reformed mean girl Kylie Collins desperately wants to put the craziness of basketball season behind her. (And with it, her cheater ex, Zachary Murphy.) Maybe she'll finally be able to silence her snarky streak and concentrate on her lifelong dream - being recruited for Division One softball.
But when Kylie arrives at her first softball practice of the season, she comes fa

I seriously love this series. Not only is it very fun to read, I also feel like I am learning something about sports. Each book in the series focuses on a different sport and each book really explains what the sport is all about. It's a very interesting concept, especially for what seems like such girly books. =)

Kylie Collins knows that this will be her year. She is certain she will get her spot as starting pitcher on the softball team and she knows she will be nominated for prom princess. It's

Stealing Bases was a book I had quite high expectations for - while it didn't quite live up to every expectation I had for it after reading Head Games, it was still a stellar read that I absolutely devoured.

I loved getting inside the heads of some of the characters from Head Games that had played a little more of an outfield role. I thought Kylie was a great narrator, I loved getting to know her more as a character. I don't know why it is, but every Missy I meet in a book I really don't like an

Mean girl Kylie Collins from Keri Mikulski's HEAD GAMES is back and ready to prove herself once and for all in STEALING BASES. Kylie is ready for the perfect softball season after the chaos of basketball is over. She's ready to step on the mound and give it her all, the glory of being the star pitcher in sight. However, things do not go as planned for Kylie when new, top-notch pitcher Amber wows both the coaches and team on day one of try-outs. Disappointed and ready to throw in the towel, reade ...more

As I've mentioned before, I am not usually a big "sports" reader, but Keri Mikulski won me over with Head Games and Stealing Bases sealed the deal. I am definitely a fan of the Pretty Tough series!

Kylie was a returning character from Head Games, but this time around she was the narrator. Through Taylor's eyes in Head Games, Kylie had always seemed like a selfish and mean person, so I'm glad I got to know her side of the story in Stealing Bases. While it did take me a little while to warm up to K

I just love this sports stories!! I really enjoyed this one cause it wasn't what I expected. Instead it throws several curve balls at me that I was dodging left and right. I really enjoyed the author, Ms. Mikulski shedding some light on Kylie, a character I read about in Head Games.

One thing I enjoyed in this book is the main character, Kylie. I really like it when I read about a characters in one book then that character gets their own book. I loved getting to know Kylie and finally seeing thin

I thought the book was ok, but the other Pretty Tough books are better. Probably because in this one she didn't end up with the guy lol I like happy endings. Anyway, I had conflicting feelings about Kylie, sometimes I loved her, other times hated her, and sometimes sympathized for her. And I don't like how the author made the "enemy" Amber so nice and likable. I wanted to hate her but I couldn't and that bothered me. I think the best part of the book was the Kylie and Zachary parts because it wa ...more

I played sports in high school, I played basketball and softball so I could really relate to Kylie’s feelings about the games as well as understanding some of the lingo, but I still think that you could get into these books even if you’ve never played sports.

This is the forth book in the series of companion novels and so even if you haven't read the other books (like me) you can still understand what is going on which I really appreciated.

I did not like Kylie as a character, I would not have bee

I mean, there were times where her conversations among her and her teammates got a little boring to me. As well as the softball part(I know nothing about softball, so the "Two outs, any bag!" stuff was very confusing on my end),but overall, it was a charming book. As much as you'd think Kylie and Zachary are meant to be...oh boy, things take a turn. But I really did like this book. It made me want to be a part of a team. I loved the fact that the girls were always there for each other. Same with ...more

This book was just average in my opinion. I didn't really like any of the characters, which is rare for me. In every book I read there is usually one character I love but in this case. I felt for Kylie at some points but most of the time she was acting really bitchy, and never said what she meant so it didn't surprise me that she had all of these problems. I was really disappointed with the book, there was nothing special or interesting about it, it was just below average. There are much better ...more

This took me awhile to complete, but that was only because I was busy and partly because it was annoying me.

This was a good book and I love this series, but to my disappointment it barely had any softball in it (though I don't necessarily like softball) and more drama. To me, it was a bit irritating.
I understand that Kylie is a drama queen and so on, but it was just so blah.

This book seems predictable but it wasn't for me. Which was the only good part.

This book of the Pretty Tough series was also awesome! I liked how it was different from the other books because instead of her having a love interest at the end, she found herself and true friends. It was nice to see the mean girl's perspective then having her turn into an awesome person! Also, I loved how Kylie stayed very strong through all of her disastrous drama! I hope there will be another book to this series!!!

A fantastic follow up to HEAD GAMES! Keri once again kept me on the edge of my seat. Kylie's problems off the diamond were as real as the softball action. I can't wait to recommend this read to my sporty students.

Eh. Can't connect to Kylie in any way besides playing softball.

It's cute but I like the other books in the series a little better.
