This is likely the most poorly written book I have ever read. I almost stopped reading it 1/3 of the way through, but felt guilty not finishing it since it was my recommendation that the library bought the book in the first place. The number of grammar errors, typos, missing words etc in this book made it painful to read. There were sentences that didn't make sense as well as some insane run on sentences. The lack of use of contractions was as annoying as in the first book too, but this time the...more
I started Forbidden Embrace straight after Immortal Embrace as I couldn't wait to read it. Those of you who have had to wait between books don't have to worry. Forbidden Embrace picks up straight were it left off in Immortal Embrace, and occasionally reflects back on a few things to keep the reader up to date.
I started this book already with my own thoughts and feelings for each of the characters. I loved Sophia even more in Forbidden Embrace, she was protective of her family even more than ever...more

At the end of the first book Danika was missing and Sophia had a really bad feeling about her... and what is worst: a vampire clan, the Cerberus, is heading in their way which puts the entire Pierce family and friends in danger.
Because of this we manage to get to know Ebony and Eliza better, the most stronger witches out there. At least they will be once they learn to control their power. I think that both characters will have a bigger participation in the third book, and I hope they will, their...more

I really enjoyed the first book of this series, it was well written and the characters came to life for me. BUT This book is just WOW! I can't believe some of the turns the author took in book 2. I liked seeing Nate and Sophia progress as well as Matt and Ebony. It seems like everyone has some kind of supernatural history and I can't wait to see what comes out in the 3rd book.

Forbidden Embrace does pick up where it left off only to make me want more. I can't wait till I receive my copy of Mystic Embrace because with the last two books this author has put out, I couldn't put the books down and hope that I will be left alone long enough to be able to enjoy this next book of her series. It's a must read and you don't know what you are missing until you have read the books themselves. You feel what the characters feel and the true bond of friendship that should be the wa...more
This book picks up where the first one, Immortal Embrace, left off. It is about a family of vampires who have become a family as they learn how to live their lives after being embraced. Her newest sister is Danika, who is learning to survive and trying to find herself as a fledgling vampire and makes the normal mistakes of a teenager, but who lives in a much more dangerous environment--so her mistakes are much more costly. Sophia was suspicious of her from the start, but through Sophia, the read...more
I had to read this right after I finished Immortal Embrace because I had to see what happens. I Love these people so much and really enjoy how the vampires and witches work together. I love reading about witches and am excited to learn more about them as well as my beloved vampires. You really feel like you are in the story, right next to them. And of course the love story makes me swoon. I am so excited to see the female as the strong vampire and the male as the human, even though he is no ordi...more
I was given book 1 to review by the author back in May and I loved it, since then I have followed Charlotte on her blog and pestered her about book 2. (thanks for putting up with my hinting Charlotte) Therefore I was so excited when I got an email from Charlotte with book 2. I could not wait to get stuck into this series again and literally squealed when I opened the email.
The book follows on from the first, and I was immediately back into the world. It was like meeting up with old friends.

I wasn't too thrilled with this book. I stuck through it only because I started it and couldn't abandon it. There were several gramatical errors along with spelling errors. The overall story wasn't the best and I found that there were several parts of the book that were repetitive. It seemed like every chapter restated who a character was and the relation and how someone was a soul mate and the love of their life. Not the best book I have read, it wasn't something that I couldn't wait to have a...more
This book is the sequel to Immortal Embrace. I really like this series. In this book Sophia has everything going for her in life, a family she loves, best friends witch happen to be witches and the man of her dreams. Until every this she loves is threatened to be fallen away but a rogue vampire clan called the Cerberus. She is determined to protect her loved ones and the town that she loves.
Loved the books. I feel it like a bunch of different surpernatural stories mixed together to make a a whole new series. Couldn't put it down.
