”I am a warrior.” My words turned to frost in the air before my face. I grabbed the gentle creature’s neck with both hands and gave it a good hard twist… Katarina was wrong: I have killed before. Out of mercy. But not yet out of vengeance.

The Lost Files: Six’s Legacy is a great transition back into the Lorien Legacies. It’s full on packed with action and downright blood, fury and fight. Nothing short of what I expected.

In this book, we get number Six’s back-story and how she lost her Cepan Katar...more

Another short story that was shorter than I was expecting. I started this one on the train on the way into work and had finished it before going to sleep that evening... It's a prequel, of sorts, to I Am Number Four - the book that spawned a series, a movie and a fair bit of controversy about how the team behind Pittacus Lore are recompensed for their efforts.

This story is far from essential to the series, it provides an interesting background to Number Six, the second of the Lorien nine to be i...more

A story about Six? Awesome!

I totally love her in I Am Number Four and Power of Six so I just had to read The Lost Files: Six’s Legacy.

This book began with Six telling her story of where she and Katarina started off when they landed on Earth escaping from Lorien.

I had a lot of fun learning how Six’s life went about. Then it got to the part where she and her Cepan were discovered by the Mogadorians; I’m not saying it wasn’t any good but if you’ve read the Power of Six before reading this, it’s ki...more

It seems to be a popular trend to release short stories or novella's for a series to warm up readers for the upcoming release of a book. Some of these are nice-to-have-but-nothing-special and more for the already existing fans of the series or to give readers a nice intro to the series (for example Survivors or First Frost). Others are so great that you really don't want to miss out on them (for example The Strange Case of Finley Jayne). Six's Legacy definitely belongs in the last category. What...more

Six is awesome and I must say, she has garnered new respect from me after reading this book. I am completely awed by her strength of character and her spirit to overcome. Katarina would have been bursting at the seams with pride. Six has firmly taken my vote as the most awesome character in this series. Let's see if they can top her! :D Also, the more I read about those darn Mogadorians, the more anticipation builds for their destruction! They are absolutely horrid and extremely hateable villian...more

Number Six (current alias Maren Elizabeth) is part of an alien race introduced in the Lorien Legacy's first book, I am Number Four. When she meets up with four at the end of that novel, there are a number of unanswered questions which are now revealed in this ebook short story, detailing her life up until that point, how her Cepan was lost, and how she came into her own legacies.

I really enjoyed reading the background story on Number Six. Although her story is similar to Number Four's, the diffe...more

You know what Six's Legacy is? Infuriating. It was awesome, and kick ass, and totally worth buying for about 60 pages. But it could have been so much more!!! Six's story before she met up with John was action packed and wonderfully written. It left me wanting a lot more also. I wanted to get to know Six on a much more personal level, and while I got glimpses of her nature it wasn't enough. Btw Six is BADASS! Let me share a little with you:

"I felt more alive than I've ever felt. I open my mouth t...more

This novella is an excellent follow-up to "I Am Number Four". That book had a lot of romantic elements with John and the human girl, Sarah, that slowed the plot somewhat. In contrast, this story is much more suspenseful. Readers met Six at the end of the first book, but got little information about her. This novella tells where she was, how she was captured and the death of her Cepan (not a spoiler since we're told she was dead in IANF). What I liked best was how the story drove home the point o...more

For Lorien-enthusiasts this book could be boredom. Almost nothing new to be told, and even if there is any, it isn't interesting. The title suits to be just 'lost pages' that should have been interpreted by the readers after reading the first two books.

But I'd consider this book - though comes succeeding I am Number Four where it should precede it - as a cue note. A draft that was made earlier to keep the authors' main idea in track - a key plot to develop the story about Six and opens the possi...more

A prequel tale that deals with the background of the independent and foxy number 6, how she came by her legacy, who was her guardian, what happened to her. I present before you all The Lost Files: Six's Legacy by Pittacus Lore .

Here is the summary of the novella:

Number Six—when John meets her in I Am Number Four she’s strong, powerful, and ready to fight. But who is she? Where has she been living? How has she been training? When did she develop her legacies? And how does she know so much about t...more

I absolutely loved this book. Why I liked it more than the first book, I do not know. If someone told me it was written by someone else, I would believe them. The story is of Six's early days when she had her Cepan, Katerina. It tells of Kat's death and how Six developed her Legacies and became the badass she is. I wish there would have been more to the story. It ended so quickly. I have yet to read The Power of Six, so maybe that will show more of her past life. I hope so.

The book was written i...more

To quench my thirst for the main course, the second in the Lorien Legacies The Power of Six (which I have currently devoured – I must’ve been extremely hungry *dribble*), I thought it was best to get my hands on this novella. Although released well after I Am Number Four, Six’s Legacy is supposed to be read as a prequel to the series. However, knowing about Six (the aim of this novella) or not knowing Six when you read I Am Number Four, is nothing to be concerned about and it doesn’t matter eith...more

An interesting glance at the life of a side character from "I am Number Four," the character of Six. The story really holds your attention during the cruel capture and torture of Six and her Cepan. Altogether though, she has led a similar life to Four, force to move around and change identities in order to stay alive. However, there are new details that we get from her perspective about being part of the Garde. This time we also get to see things not only from a female perspective but from a fei...more

wow.

I love Six.

After everything she went through, after all those horrible things, she was still so strong. So FUCKING strong.

I'm telling you, she's perfect, even though she has flaws. She does not let them affect her and she tries to make the best of any situation. She believes in herself but does not lie to herself and make pointless and feeble rationalization.

The only problem I have with Six is the actress who plays her. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS THE PERSON WHO WAS CASTING HER THINKING?!!!...more

I knew I liked Six, the moment we met her in "I Am Number Four", and she told John to 'stay tuned' regarding her other Legacies. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the now "Power Of Six", which I'll be reading tonight.

This Novella of Six's Legacy was just the icing on the cake!! Although, as soon as I was getting really into it and hoping for some more of Six, it ended. Only 60 pages!?!? What? I struggled with that, but I was really happy that we did get a Novella on this kick ass, bad ass, chi...more

Out of desperation to continue reading anything to do with the Lorien Legacies, I picked up this little Novella all about Six before she met John.

It was nice to be back in the Lorien Garde world, but much of what happened in this little book, had already been alluded to in book one, when we first met Six. It really offered very little new, but just an excuse to stay wrapped up in the world created.

Although I enjoyed it, it was short, that's what Novellas are, and I did feel a bit "been there, do...more

I was reminded of how the first book really sorta swept me away. The writing style is different but I quite like how it gets straight to the point and right down to action. I have attention problems so that's always a good thing in my opinion.

I loved Six's story and learning why she was such a strong female character in I Am Number Four. She had to endure a lot of pain and suffering and it really changed her.

I think my biggest problem and the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that it rea...more

I love how Six narrates the story.

This are some of my favorite lines:

That was it—the moment I’ve been training for my
whole life—and all I managed was a feeble, easily
deflected shove before getting tossed aside and
stabbed.
“He didn’t know,” I say.
“He didn’t know,” she says.
What he didn’t know is that any harm inflicted on
me out of order would instead be inflicted upon my
attacker. I was safe from direct attack. I knew it, but
I also didn’t really know it. When he stabbed me in
the head, I thought I w

Someone posted this and i copied it because in the E-Book this is one of my favorite line that Number 6 said:

The book is the story about Number 6's adventure with her Cepan before she meets Number 4. Through out the story, she figures out her ability (Her Legacy): Telekinesis: power to control and manipulate the weather and her other power: Invisibility. At the end of the story, her Cepan dies and she ends up to travel by herself to find other Garde (According to the Sequel: She first finds number 6 at Paradise, Ohio). This is a good book to read even though it's kind of short. I love it and I would li...more

In my opinion much better than previous book. I like Six in book one. Because there was a very big difference between her and Four. She really is a warrior. She has to survived her capture, outlived the torture and loss of her Cepan. She is great character. When John is whiny brat who just wants Sarah. Come on, man. You think you can do one mistake after another and nobody notice??? You think you can hide in small town and nobody's going to kick your ass???? ...anyway, where John was coward, lia...more

The novella depicts Number Six living and training with her Cêpan Katarina before Number Two was killed. This novella continues on to depict Six's and Katarina's capture by the Mogadorians, Katarina's death and Six's eventual escape from the Mogadorians with the help of her first legacy, invisibility. The story then ends with Six's decision to go to Paradise, Ohio to help Number Four in battle with the Mogadorians.

What I love about this novella is that I was able to understand Six; as a Garde, a...more

I am number four is a action packed book that got turned into a movie. It is about a 15 year old alien called John smith who has special powers because he is from another planet but now resides in earth. He is being chased in order of the 9 survivors of the planet that have special powers. In this book you will experience action, friendship, and a little bit of romance. Their are sad parts and exciting parts when you get to read about his amazing powers slowly being discovered from within. I rec...more

This is a very short story that follows gives us a little bit more history about Marina aka Number 6. Number 6 is a fascinating character, very independent and a tough girl. I really like her kick butt skills and her powers are in my opinion better than Number 4's. I finished this in one afternoon. You don't have to read it for the next book...this is more of an add on. But I'm a huge fan of this series and I definitely like the additional information. The Power of Six briefly touches on Six's b...more

well I really enjoyed knowing Six a little more before he got into Paradise. I knew nothing about why Six is so strong, calm, and fearless until I've read this. And it feels great to know her background starting with living with Katarina and training to be strong physically, mentally but not emotionally though and ending up with she lost her Cepan and started on her own, not mentioning her first Legacy arrived when she needed it most and that is to escape the cave of the mogadorians and start ov...more

I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: Six's Legacy is an interesting read if not an overpriced read. Six's Legacy is only about sixty-five percent of the book. After reading it my first question was will she train Four and Sam to become warriors like her. Forged by the scars of war Six so far has made to be the strongest of the remaining Garde.

It didn't even take me two hours to read Six's interest backstory. Twenty percent of the book is the prologue and first two chapters of I Am Number Four. Whi...more
