Engaging story about a man who is known for telling wild stories and is disbelieved when he begins to tell stories of cats riding foxes, hunting dogs, and being crowned in the local church. Great illustrations and easy-to-read-aloud writing.

Shelves: folk-literature
Personal Reaction: I thought this book was similar to the little boy who cried wolf. But I enjoyed the different spin of the story being about a cat and also the ghost story aspect added a creepy vibe to keep it interesting.

The illustrations are definitely the book's strong point. The story is very simple and has a good moral, and the pictures are just easy to look at.
