I have to admit, I am not familiar with the romance genre. Romance novels have never really captured my attention. This collection of romance stories are written well. This issue for me was that they seemed to lack depth. There were at least two stories that were so brief and made very little sense that I wondered why they were included in the collection. Again, this could be an issue with the genre, but overall my first experience with romance stories was not great.

Deatri King-Bey puts together a collection of wonderfully written stories. She offers something for everyone, such as, sweet love stories to spicy erotica. I found myself gripped to a few in the collection but my favorite was the first story. I didn't want it to end! There were moments I had my "awww's" and "ooooh's" between each word. Overall, if you're a fan of short stories coupled with a little sweet and spicy, this book is definitely for you!

This was a nice collection of short stories. There were some that I wished were longer but it was still a good read.

The stories were pretty boring and slow. Even the sexual parts were pretty boring and not exciting.

These were short stories in this book. All of them were amazing and will have you wishing the stories were longer. I absolutely enjoyed this read and again author Deatri King-Bey never disappoints.

When Deatri was six years old, her mother was told that because of Deatri's dyslexia, she'd probably never learn how to read. At that time, it was recommended Deatri partake in a specialized reading curriculum. Unbeknownst to Deatri's parents, this additional help their daughter would need, from a teacher, was actually Deatri being taken out of reading class to sit in the hallway with a tape ...more
