Obsessed is not about obsession for a new purse or a new car. Instead, these stories sizzle with the kind of obsession that is fueled by our deepest desires, the ones that hold couples together, the ones that haunt us and don’t let go. Whether just-blooming passions, rekindled sparks, or reinvented relationships, these lovers put the object of their obsession first. From t...more

A little embarrassed to say my expectations for this were low. I expected some well-edited stroke fiction. Pure sex with a smattering of pretty phrases to make me feel smarter while getting off. Instead I found some really thoughtful, heartfelt writing. It challenged me and moved me.
Not every story, mind you. In fact, one pissed me off quite a bit and represents the stereotype of bad erotica: flat writing, tepid sex, and unlikeable characters whose most interesting aspect is their movie star loo...more

Seriously, as I was reading this my exact thoughts were "it's like short porn clips in text format"

Each of the nineteen stories in this anthology explores the subject of obsession—a word thrown around these days, far-removed from its truer meaning of being completely consumed and overtaken by something (or its even more extreme meaning of being enslaved to something). My GetGlue profile claims I am “obsessed” with True Blood’s Sam Merlotte, but I know this fictional character has not consumed me nor am I enslaved by him, I just think he’s rather attractive, especially with his clothes off *wi...more

Everyone has some type of obsession in their life whether it be the pursuit of a secret fantasy, or something we experience that creates the obsession that always pulses just under the surface. An anthology about obsession is perfect for readers who need or want to feel that they're not alone in their compulsions. This book covers it.

Silent Treatment by Donna George Storey
When a woman leaves her busy life in the city for a weekend of silence in a meditation Centre, she couldn’t imagine seeing her ex-lover there. It seems the chemistry between them is still there, but he has some explaining to do and because of the silent treatment the only way to communicate is by body language.

I won this book from Goodreads First Reads!!
This book was ok, it wasn't the best book that i have read.
This book is a whole bunch of short stories from multiple authors. One of my favorite stories was Spellbound by Garnell Wallace.
If you like to read romance definantly read this book.

I seem to have had a run of bad luck with books lately. This book was a big disappointment to me. I love the seduction of good erotica. Maybe I'm old school, but I need a story which can stand alone without the sex to hold my attention. Pages and pages of throbbing members and damp panties just doesn't do it for me.
Sadly this was one of those books. The story lines were embarrassingly predictable, all I can say is that the editors have consistency of taste in their favor.

I was very excited when I received this book in the mail. The cover is gorgeous. The forward is by Caridad, and she is wonderful.
It is a collection of short stories based on obsessions. You will find that some stories are better then others and that will be subjective to the reader.
A great reason to pick up this book - If you're short on time but would like to read a little something erotic- help get the juices flowing- this is perfect. Browse through and see what strikes your fancy.

This is a good collection of erotic stories focusing on obsession. As with most anthologies, some stories were better than others. But that kind of judgment can be pretty subjective when it comes to erotica. I'm not much into romance, so the "let's spend our lives together" endings of most of these tales got a little tiring. The overall quality of the collection, however, lives up to RKB's usual high standards. So I would recommend "Obsessed" to just about anyone with an interest in erotic roman...more
