I really enjoyed this quick read, mostly because I'd already read its sequel, Tessa's Pride, and knew Tessa and Josh. Even though I'm anal about reading connected books in order, I think this is one of the rare cases where reading the short prequel after the full book provides a better experience.

Really enjoyed this quick read! It was a great setup for Tessa's Pride and I'm curios to see what happens next.

This is only 29 pages but it packs a punch. I'm definitely going to read the first book (this is a prequel). New to me author and a recommended read, especially since it's free right now.

Yay for well-written short stories! A great time filler that you're not going to worry about being late to a meeting by reading. And quite refreshing.
34 pages but enough to get me to want to buy the next book. Great prequel...
Interesting story .. but with waaaaaay too many details.
Makes me want to read the next book in this series
