Her younger sister is missing, suspected to be hiding from cops and criminals alike at a highly secretive BDSM retreat-a place where the elite escape to play out their most extreme sexual fantasies. ***original review posted at Romancing Rakes For The Love of Romance***

The book is told with every other chapter going back to 10 years before.

THEN:
Brynn LeBreck has had quite a hard life. Her mother comes home bruised, battered and drunk from whatever man she's been with, her baby sister having to witness her mother's behavior. She's taken a job as a receptionist in the campaign office of a soon-to-be senator. On her first day she notices all the girls fawning over the soon-to-be senator's son...more

This is a good romantic suspense book. What it's not is a good BDSM book. To me, this falls into the rather unfortunate genre of "BDSM books written by vanilla folks, for vanilla folks" (a category coined recently by Kitty Thomas). Obviously I don't know what this author does in the bedroom, but that's the kind of shallow perspective of BDSM that I found here. I was okay with the misinformation. What really bugged me, and I mean really bugged me, was what I saw as kink shaming. In a BDSM book, n...more

I'm not one to review authors I know. But I have to make a remark -- as someone who *despises* flashback's or traversing into the past for anything but a page or so, the THEN and NOW combination really wow'd me. Pulled off with class, to say the least!

I had a very hard time putting this book down, despite my children begging for lunch and dinner that day. (j/k)
While I've read some erotica before, as well as BDSM, I'm not as well-read in this genre as in others. However, I'm familiar with BDSM from a personal stance and I have to disagree with some of the other reviewers who complained that this was "vanilla BDSM." The beauty of the lifestyle is that there are so many levels to it. Not everyone who practices BDSM is going to go hard-core, 24/7...more

I must say, i have been waiting for over 6 months to read this book, that i couldn't read it fast enough the moment i got my hands on it! I LOVED it, Reid is waaaaayyyyy sexy, a real alpha male and dirty talker to boot... YUM! And Brynn is such a lost soul, that i felt so sorry for her and i hardly ever feel anything for the heroines in the books that i read! And all i can say is HELLO Jace, i'm so glad that your story is next! All in all a very satisfying read. Not into BDSM, but for Reid and J...more

I don't normally read erotic romance, but as a writer of upmarket women's fiction, I thought it would be good for me to push beyond my comfort zone. I discovered Roni Loren on Twitter, and she had a lot of smart things to say. I read the book excerpt on Amazon, found it exceedingly well-written, but felt some trepidation with the subject matter. A few weeks later, though, I still couldn't get the book off my mind. So I bought it, read it, and loved it. The characters are so real that the plot is...more

Full review at Delighted Reader.

I have looked forward to the début of Roni Loren’s new book, Crash Into You, for well over six months. I followed her on Twitter for a long time and wondered what she was talking about when she said she was an author. I couldn’t find her books anywhere. Well, then I learned she was writing them and they had yet to be published. Waiting is over! Her début book is out and now I have the pleasure of reviewing it!

Brynn LeBreck has made a comfortable life for herself h...more

Can I just say how lucky I am to have discovered this gem? WOW-HOT DAMN-and FOR SHIZZLE--I will be buying the rest of this series.
Crash Into You is packed with steamy sexy times that will make you sweat. Action packed and the suspense will keep your attention in between the smokin' sexy times. And it is pleasingly very well written with flashbacks that are perfectly timed.
Here is my pet peeve---when you get excited about a book because it has the really great cover and it states that i...more

CRASH INTO YOU was well worth the wait . . . and I've been waiting on this sweet and talented author's debut for quite a while. Roni Loren has been a blessing to my writing career through her Fiction Groupie blog, and I'm thrilled to see the rave reviews pouring in for her now. Every once in a while the world gets it right and good things happen for awesome people, and I'm happy dancing that it's the case for her.

For lovers of hot, steamy adult romance, this is a must read. Equal times fun and s...more

A content warning would have been appreciated

By the description of this book I thought this to be an erotic contemporary romance between a male and female. There is no indication whatsoever in the blurb that this story would be anything other than a male/female exclusive relationship.

If I had known there would be a 'hero + heroine + one' in the sex scenes, I wouldn’t have bothered. I don’t want to be surprised by a m/f/m . There were no content warnings prefacing this.

This is a great, fast paced story with romance, thriller, and erotic elements. It's well written and entertaining, and I genuinely liked the heroine. The story involves BDSM and Roni Loren handles the psychology of BSDM participants really well by showing men who are sensitive to the feelings and needs of their partners.

I haven't read too many erotic romance novels, but this was a well plotted, wonderfully saucy read without being overwhelming about the physical aspects. Highly recommend!

For the first erotic romance I've ever read, I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I'm a follower of Roni's Fiction Groupie blog, so I knew I'd enjoy her writing style going into this, but I simply could not put this book down (or rather, I had to for real life and wish I hadn't had to). The sex scenes were great (of course), but more than that the chemistry and emotion between Brynn and Reid was amazing. I'm not normally a fan of villain subplots, either, but this one didn't feel force...more

HOT. HOT. HOT.

Ms. Loren created one hell of a sexy couple for this debut novel. Couldn't believe the complexity of their characters and the story weaved around them. A must read.

Well done, Ms. Loren. Can't wait for Melt Into You!!!

Very Good!!! Can't wait to finish the Kindle book that is next in this series and Jace's story that comes out July 3rd.... Excited!

Okay, I know I'm late to the game, but this book is amazing. I absolutely loved it-- I read it in one sitting earlier this afternoon.

First, let me admit that I bought this book, along with all of Roni's other books, every time they released. I did not, however, read them right away (obviously, since I'm just now reading book 1). Although I've read erotic romance in the past, I'd never read anything with toys or with menage scenes. Quite frankly, I was a bit nervous about trying them. I bought th...more

I’m often asked when reading erotic fiction, is it like 50 shades? ‘In the case of ‘Crash Into You* my answer is yes but on a much higher level.

‘Crash Into You’ not only brings you a highly intense erotic story but it also brings you mystery and intrigue.

The story focuses around Brynn and her quest to go undercover at ‘The Ranch’ to find out what’s happened to her sister.
But ‘The Ranch’ is very selective with their guest list and Brynn’s only chance of entry is to become a submissive.
A path she...more

I struggle yet again with what to say about a book that was well written, with a solid story that somehow didn't draw me in. I can't put my finger on exactly why. I do agree with Amber to a degree that this was not a good BDSM book. It certainly isn't a book full of juicy BDSM scenes or interesting toys and fun ways to use them.

This book is about two people who are running away from their inherent natures trying desperately to fit into life as they think it "should be" lived. Given the back sto...more

Review for Nocturnereads.com

I’m going to start off by saying there are a few grammar errors…other than that it’s pretty much perfection! A sizzling romance-check, suspense and a climax that will have you biting your nails-check, incredibly erotic scenes-check, the perfect amount of BDSM for my taste-check, a couple of hot guys- check, a m/f/m ménage scene-check, a heroine that appeals to all my emotions-check, and the list could go on.

Brynn is an incredibly amazing woman. It’s not easy to admit...more

4 1/2 stars. Full disclosure - I "met" Roni online, and have hosted her on my blog. So I was disposed to like her work from the get-go. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how deliciously hot I found this book.

I felt nervous about the BDSM angle novel, but the connection between Reid and Brynn carried me through. Call me a prude, but spanking/whipping doesn't do it for me, even in its mildest forms.

As a few of the other reviewers have noted, there's a menage scene, which I thought was total...more

My Review:
I really liked this book. I picked it up on a whim from a Twitter post and was pleasantly surprised at how much I did really enjoy it. There's a lot going on in this book, and honestly, I can't really share much of it without spoiling part of the story for you as you read it. Brynn & Reid were involved 10 years ago and suddenly they find themselves once again working together. The story slowly unfolds, chapter by chapter. One chapter is written in the "Now", then the next chapter w...more

4 stars. Full disclosure: I'm an author, and I also know and like the author of this book. That said, I know a LOT of authors who I like very much, and have read a LOT of their books, but I don't review even 10% of them. I only review books I would actually recommend to a reader of that particular genre whether I knew the author or not, because before I even thought about becoming a writer, I was a reader. I still am a reader, I would hate to steer someone wrong.
Fact is, I'm reviewing this book...more

This book was HOT HOT HOT!!! WAY hotter than I expected. I will be honest and say that this is one of the HOTTEST books I've ever read, BUT, it kept me turning page after page to feel the suspenseful intensity of the story. Roni Loren created some awesome, believable characters and set the scenes to boiling with the romance and bedroom scenes!

I loved the way Roni Loren took Brynn and Reid's stories and blended them perfectly. Brynn has sexual issues....not that she doesn't like sex, but she has...more

For me, BDSM books are like a Cracker Jacks prize...you never know what you're going to get. Crash Into You feel into the, "Yay! I love this prize," category. The BDSM is light, compared to some of the other books I've read, but this book is about so much more than the alternate lifestyle our hero and heroine engage in. It's the emotional journey they took to finally embrace what they enjoy and letting go of the past in order to move forward.

Told from both the present day and past, we get the hi...more

I've been following Roni's blog for a couple years; I saw when she got her agent, and then not much later when she got her book deal. Roni is an extraordinarily giving blogger: giving of her knowledge, her passion, and her time (those blog posts aren't short, people). As soon as the details of Crash Into You came out, I knew that I would be reading it. I also knew that I was going to enjoy, and I wasn't wrong.

I'd thought this would be my first erotic romance, but it turns out that it isn't. My...more

The book alternated between the past and the present and actually started really good, but after the first quarter I only continued reading it for the scenes because the romance was full of my pet peeves, including H/h keeping secrets from one another, the heroine lying to the hero in the past and in the present, her breaking up with him again ‘just because it’s better this way’ and so on. Besides, it was not an emotional read in the parts that referred to the present. H/h had a great love story...more

Roni wrote her first romance novel at age fifteen when she discovered writing about boys was way easier than actually talking to them. Since then, her flirting skills haven’t improved, but she likes to think her storytelling ability has.

Though she’ll forever be a New Orleans girl at heart, she now lives in Dallas with her husband and son. If she’s not working on her latest sexy story, you can fin...more
