The Hall of Horrors is open. Step into the nightmare! Mickey and Amanda are put in charge of their vacationing neighbors' cat, Bella. All they have to do is make sure she has enough to eat and doesn't destroy the house. Seems simple enough. But Bella escapes from the house and disappears. This book reminded me why I dislike kids (or middle graders at least). Thay can be so frustrating. And you can't even blame them since they're just kids. It gets on your nerves.

But, annoying kids aside, that was one creepy cat. Poor Mickey. Even though it was somewhat his fault too, I don't think he deserved wha he got. I also don't think he deserves a sucky friend like Amanda, but what do I know?

Anyway, the hall of horrors thing was also very creepy and the end got me curious (and worried) abou

Another fun romp with Goosebumps. Worse part of this... Amanda. The most irritating friendship ever. With friends like her, who needs enemies. Trifling.

Anyway, on to the newest R.L.Stine!

Following an absence of new Goosebumps books that lasted nearly a decade, R.L. Stine commenced publishing the Horrorland, Hall of Horrors, and Most Wanted spinoffs of the Goosebumps franchise, and there were noticeable differences between the original 1990s series and the revival that began in 2008 with Revenge of the Living Dummy. The cover art was much more intense, featuring creepier imagery than the '90s books. The action in the stories was more graphic and traumatizing for the characters, ...more

Reflection: Required to read a Goosebumps book for my Books & Media for Children class. I can see the appeal for certain kids --with this being my first Goosebumps read, the child version of myself was obviously one who didn't like being scared. As an adult, the plot of slightly predictable (but there were a couple of twists I didn't see coming) and I spent some time mentally yelling at the protagonists for doing something "dumb" like you would at characters in a horror movie. =P

What would happen is someone was haunted by a dead cat? In R.L. Stine's Goosebumps series called Hall Of Horrors, the answer is soon found out in Claws! This book had fantastic suspension, like when Mickey debates to open the door to the Caplan's house. Imagery, like when Mickey explains the look or smell of the cats. And adrenaline when Amanda and Mickey are running from Lou. I recommend this book to readers who like immersion and are fans of the Goosebumps series.

Shows the struggle two girls have for taking care of a neighbours cat and the trouble that comes with the cat. Shows that they should have chose the honesty way out if the problem. These days we gave to remember that honesty is the best policy

I've been having a lot of fun reading R.L. Stine's newer children's books. This is the first in a new series, and it was really cute. The ending was a nice little twist!

The Hall of Horrors is the new addition to the horrorland section. This hall is the place where frightened children tell their stories.

So Claws! is the first story in the series. It is narrated by a young boy named Mickey Coe.

He tells a story about how he and his friend Amanda went to look after their neighbours blach cat. and then. you know what it is. things go bad. mickey is haunted by cats. feels followed by cats. cats. cats. cats. he sees cats everywhere.

Can he and Amanda find a solution?

I have read the other Goosebumps books and I thought the other were pretty good. I have to say, this book wasn't what I expected it to be. It was not as good as the other Goosebumps books and I was disappoint. The main character thinks that cats haunt him and it wasn't as scary as I thought it would have been. Still, I rate this as a 3 star because it has a least a okay plot to follow. I can't wait to read the next few books in Hall Of Horrors.

I thought the book Claws by:R.L Stine is very slow for the first and second chapter ,but the rest of the book keeps you wanting to read more and more!! One thing that I didn't like about this book is it didn't really have any connections to the reader. One thing that I loved about this book is after every chapter there is always suspense that drags you to the next chapter.I recommend this book to any one who enjoys mysterious tales!!!

I thought it was cute. This is a book about two friends who have to take care of the neighbors cat while they are away. Unfortunately, the cat gets out and horror ensues. I especially liked the twist at the end.
