A reviewer that I respect, Nora-Adrienne Deret, wrote a promising review of this novel. I mainly read cozy murder mysteries, but, when this book came, I saw it was 'Contemporary Romance.' What that meant was to be learned, by me.

At first it was a good romantic book with tones of pick myself up and rebuild me, then, came in the Contemporary Romance...meaning explicit sexual scenes. Not to my taste at all. I'm just uncomfortable, however...Nora recommended the book, so...I skipped over the scenes...more

Dakota Cassidy seamlessly blends humor, sizzle, inspiration and tons of fun in Waltz This Way!

What happens when everything that you have ever known is cruelly ripped away, leaving you with nothing but the clothes on your back? That is what Melina must recover from when her life-sucking husband tosses aside their marriage to hop in the sack with a much younger woman. Melina losses her home, her precious dance studio, her stu...more

My Review:

I have absolutely loved the trophy wives series by Dakota Cassidy. This is book #3 in the series and I honestly think that it has been the absolute best in the series. There was something about this book that touched me deeper than the other two did. I think that a lot of it had to do with the addition of the boy geniuses at the school where Mel teaches, especially Nate, Drew's son. Mel has a wicked sense of humor and every single time she interacted with these boys, I giggled about it...more

What Dakota Cassidy has created with her Trophy Wives series is nothing short of snarky excellence.
Waltz This Way takes us into the life of Melina, wife to a rich Dancer and showman who has been kicked to the curb from her marriage and is back in her old town living with her Dad. With rich and vindictive characters we cheer on Melina as she builds herself back up in life and faces her obstacles with those big girl panties and a tub of chocolate frosting. Because sometimes that frosting can help...more

Honestly? I wish I could buy this book right now but I'm gonna have to wait until it's published... Never fear, that's why we all have a wishlist, right? So we never forget to buy a great book.

Melina suddenly discovered, thanks to the reporters that were stalking her like crazy that her busband was cheating on her with a much younger woman and to make things worst she is left with nothing but the clothes she is wearing.
And her husband swims in money... Thanks for nothing, jerk!

And now, thanks to...more

I read this book on a packed plane ride out of New Orleans. What a mistake!
This is the kind of book that will make you laugh, make you cry and generally make other passengers on a flight think that you're a raging lunatic.
Dakota Cassidy once again captures the myriad of emotions that come into play following public betrayal, divorce and trying to start over. She successfully follows both heroine and hero as they struggle with fear, lust, anger and love and writes them each so authentically that...more

Dakota Cassidy once again leads us through the pitfalls of divorce with plenty of charm, laughter, and snark as we get to know Melina Cherkasov, the third trophy wife in her hilarious Ex-Trophy Wives series. A character driven series, it’s the fast pacing and conversational style writing that enhances the appeal of this story. Ms...more

As a former dancer I knew I was going to enjoy Waltz This Way, but you don’t need to appreciate ballroom dance or reality TV shows in order to love this story. It’s full of relatable characters, snappy dialogue, and sexy moments, and it’s such a fun ride every step of the way.

I loved loved LOVED the interactions between Drew and Mel. I like my romances hot and snarky, and these two have chemistry in spades. They’re hilarious and clever and absolut...more

Third in the Ex Trophy Wives series this is by far the best. Former ballroom champion Melina Cherkasov finds out that her Svengali husband is a cheat on national television. He leaves her with nothing but her dog after 20 years of marriage. Melina is forced to go back to live with her dad in his retirement community in New Jersey where with help from Max, Jasmine and Frankie from the previous books Melina starts to build her life anew.
I really liked Melina. I loved her best friend Jackie. Drew...more

Waltz This Way is a story about a divorced woman and a divorced man and how they find each other and have a second chance at love. I find that stories about first love lost and second love found and all that jazz can be tricky. For the reader to truly feel like the couple deserves a second shot at love, they need to be really likeable. No whiny “omg I have to go to the ‘regular people store’ instead of the boutique I usually go to” lady and no ‘”I must g...more

I don't know what I can say about this book that won't be a total repeat of what I said about the first two books in this series....I AM IN LOVE with this series! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could! Dakota Cassidy is genius! The voice that she gives to her characters is SO BRILLIANT that I feel like crying when I'm done the book because I'm so sad that I am finished reading it! She makes me laugh. She makes me cry. And she makes me fall in love with each and every book! I said it in th...more

Dakota Cassidy's books always entertain me. I like watching her female characters find themselves and learn to become strong independent women. Her writing is funny and always makes me smile. Especially reading the parts that have to do with the senior citizens at the retirement home. I really think Ms. Cassidy's books would be great turned into films. If you haven't read any of these books, I highly recommend the Ex-Trophy Wives series.

I have absolutely loved this series, and I'm sad to see it end. Ms. Cassidy brings her trademark snark to Melina Cherkasov, so while it's a little similar to what we've seen from the heroines in the two previous books (You Dropped a Blonde on Me and Burning Down the Spouse), Melina is different, despite being the same situation as the other former Ex-Trophy Wives.

What I liked most about Waltz This Way was that as romantic feelings progress for Melina and Drew, the other issues in their...more

I found it interesting that in this one the guy had most of the issues, that they were the same ones annoyed me. I wanted to yell at him to grow up. So I was glad that someone did, too bad it was his 12 year old son. Granted with Nate being a genius he knew, but your kids shouldn't have to do that. Nate was refreshing with his geekdom, I loved that his family allowed him to embrace it.

Mel didn't annoy me as some of the women in this series have. Towards the end I was stunned by how much crap jus...more

This book started out kind of slow, so I was thinking, oh no this is not going to be good. Well I was very wrong. It was so good. I just love the whole concept of the book. Rich woman loses everything through divorce, has to start anew and finds love of her life. Of course with a lot of other things in between. A very HEA!

Fun, and heartwarming with the continuing theme of "suck it up Princess". I'm enjoying this series a lot.
Special thanks to Dakota as my copy was an ARC won by a contest.

DC you totally rocked my weekend. Mel, Drew, Nate and this whole new gang of folks made this a wonderfully pleasant day reading with new friends. Thanks Princess!

I got the book from my local library.

Kindle edition. Dakota wrote another wonderful book. With enough mystery and sexyness to make it a great reads. Can't wait for the next book in the series to come out :) (yes I know I know this one just came out lol)

I enjoyed the quirky humour in this book, and the unique take on divorce and relationships. I think I will look for more of this author's books.

This book is too cute and sexy as all get out. I loved it, especially the amazing ending!!!! Dakota did a fantastic job of bringing it all together in such a way as to literally have me sighing. LOVED!

Dakota Cassidy lives for a good laugh in life and in her writing. In fact, she almost loves a good giggle as much as she loves hair products and that’s saying something.

Her goals in life are simple, (like really simple): banish the color yellow forever, create world peace via hot rollers and Aqua Net; and finally, nab every tiara in the land by competing in the Miss USA, Miss Universe, and Miss W...more
