This is the last book in this series. It starts out with Elias still living in Ana's basement. One morning a prince, who is like Ana, comes to town. He says they are on the brink of war because Ana let his captain’s betrothed out of her agreement. And that someone must be offered to keep the two regions at peace. Ana makes a joke saying that all that she has to offer is Elias, and of course the prince thinks it a fine deal. She has to find a way to correct this, or at the very least make it OK....more This is the last book in this series. It starts out with Elias still living in Ana's basement. One morning a prince, who is like Ana, comes to town. He says they are on the brink of war because Ana let his captain’s betrothed out of her agreement. And that someone must be offered to keep the two regions at peace. Ana makes a joke saying that all that she has to offer is Elias, and of course the prince thinks it a fine deal. She has to find a way to correct this, or at the very least make it OK.

Almost Everything is really focused on "The Hunt," and finding a way to have her vampires’ hunger to be able to be satisfied without a witch having to die. We also learn more about her vampire heritage and how things really apply to her. I also think Ana’s character has grown so much in this book and I am happy to see the choices she makes.

There is a lot of boy drama in this one. She now has a total of 3 boys vying for her love: Nikolai, Thompson aka Matthew & Elias. The story however is not focused on this, although she does choose who she wants to be with.

The vampires of her and her father’s region are slowly going mad with hunger since Ana has called off the hunt in the previous books. Her father is to the point where he is maddened with hunger. This is also affecting Ana and Elias as well. It is becoming a big problem and some of the witches are in the mindset of "let them all starve to death and be rid of them." So, Ana and Nikolai come up with a plan to help with "the hunt” She finds a way that she thinks will enable the vampires to satisfy their hunger without a witch dying.

This book does not disappoint with the amount of action and intrigue. The story only takes place in a matter of days, and yet so much happens. As we all know, most series end. I truly felt the author did a wonderful job ending Ana's story. I really didn’t feel like screaming "I need more, I need more." I was also quite surprised and pleased at how everything, other than love interests, resolved.

The only thing in the entire book that bothered me is really who Ana ends up with. I think I didn't like who she chose to be with and was really expecting it to be different. This is the reason I gave it 4.5 stars. I guess the author left it vague for a reason. Ana is more than likely going to end up living for hundreds of years, so a lot can be left to the imagination. So that’s something.

This a wonderful ending to the series with all loose ends tied up nicely. No feeling at all like something was left unanswered. Enjoy!(less)

Awesome read as always, kudos Ms. Hallaway. I wasn't aware that this is the last book so I had to edit my original review. I'm sad that it had to end so quickly, I was left hanging and aching for more. I wanted to find out more on when Elias' return and will he stake his claim finally w/Ana. I want to see if her parents will eventually be friends especially now that they are living under one roof. I want to find out if and when Mat's relationship w/Ana ends will Nikolai make his move again since...more

Well, normally, I'd give these types of books a 1. Or not rate it at all.

BUT. She mentions yaoi, so I decided to be nice. (Note: if you don't know what yaoi is, I honestly suggest it. I mean, if you're an anime/manga fangirl, then yaoi is AMAZING).

Almost Everything picks up where Almost Final Curtain left off. ana has to contend with her conflicting worlds of vampires and witches, all while trying to figure out which of her many guys she wants to be with. Should she pick Nik the uber sexy rock 'n' roll witch, the chivalrous vampire living in her basement Elias, or the former enemy jock turned theatre buddy Thompson? -The storyline was boring and predictable, it was obvious from the start of the book what would happen. The only parts I found mildly entertaining were Ana's interactions with Thompson.

-Ana is such an idiot, she never thinks before she speaks, so she ends up saying the most stupidest things. Her constant whinging about her love life was beyond irritating - she had no less than 3 guys interested in her and she strang them all along. I hated that whenever Ana was with one guy she ended up thinking about one of her other guys - she just wanted it all and she didn't care who she hurt.
Ana had rubbish relationships with everyone, her parents, her friends and her 'boyfriends' - she expected everything from them but gave nothing in return. I was irritaed with how Ana just jumped to conclusions regarding her mum - instead of asking her mum what was going on she just came up with all sorts of rubbish.
I wasn't impressed with Ana's martyr-ish ways at the end when she offered to sacrifice her witch soul. I don't know why it was up to her to solve all of the vampire problems since she didn't even know she was a vampire until a year ago. I'm getting tired of the amount of YA heroines that risk their lives for people that don't deserve it just because it's the 'right thing to do'.

-I hope Elias isn't going to be Ana's HEA- he's weird, he's old, he's been in love too many times before with both men and women and he has more in common with Ana's mum than Ana. I would hate for them to end up together. Her love interests aren't all that great to be honest, Nik is a douche and a racist, Thompson the love interest that's most suited to her, used to bully her. She needs to find a new love interest and tell the other three, it's not happening.

-I liked Bea but I noticed that there were a few times where she was intentionally depicted in a very negative way just so Ana could seem more sensitive and deep in comparison.

-Ana's parents were annoying, her mum was insensitive, cruel and heartless - the dumb cow kept banging on about her hatred for vampires when her daughter was one, talk about stupid. Ana's dad was a douche, he tries to kill Ana then a couple of days later he's remorseful - it was just BS.

-The pop culture references were unnecessary - it didn't make Ana seem interesting, it just made her seem pretentious.

After three books there's hardly been any development, Ana's still a whiny brat and she's no closer to choosing a guy, the witches and vampires are still fighting and most of the characters have shown zero growth. The plot in each book are so similar to each other that the last 2 books were pretty much pointless. I'm not sure how many books are left in the series but if there's more than one, I probably won't continue with the series.(less)

This book was really good, confusing at some parts but still very good. I have to admit it got confusing at some parts and a love square that's a really hard story line to gone but Tate Hallaway made it wrok. This book I have to is fast-paced but still amazing. Yep, so there's still the love square situation happening. Plus, as an added bonus, there's a new vamp prince whose come all the way from the south too annoy Ana. ooh, ooh, and all the vampires are starving! you know, cuz Ana stopped their ceremonial hunt twice now. makes them kinda hungry.

also, here's a sneak peek: I felt most comfortable with people who made obscure references to Star Wars movies or Lord of the Rings books, and people who got excited at the idea of a new Doctor Who episodes...more Yep, so there's still the love square situation happening. also, the boy sitch seems to round itself out rather neatly. Elias has to go and get 'married' (note the quotations) to some dude and has to go away for a while, but he promises (rather swoon-worthily, if you ask me) that his heart is Ana's and he will return for her because their blood bond is forever *serious Fangirling* Nik promises to wait until she's bored with her mortal, which I thought was callous and insensitive and like he thinks he's superior and all-around jerk-tastic of him *hissing in anger* and in the meanwhile, she has Thompson, who is generally awesome.
yep. and again, this is what I call a good ending. All the loose ends have been pretty much tied up, so we, the reader, can have closure, yet there's enough left over plot that we can hold out hope for another book in the series.
If Gena Showalter is reading this, YOU DIDN'T DO THAT WITH TWISTED!!!!!
Again, sorry to everyone else, I'm really sorry because I shouldn't be using every book review I do to complain about that, but I can't help it. Twisted just did not... you know what? I'm not even going to mention that book's name, but IT DID NOT END! it has what I call a non-ending, which is when the author THINKS she's ended, but she really actually didn't do anything.

a Good novel, fun and entertaining.

The one thing though is that the love situation does NOT get handled. It's more like put on pause/hold than anything seious. She doesn't even really make the choice, more like it's made for her and for that i wish for another novel to please tell me what happens.

I enjoyed this. Ana isn't a vampire or a witch, but half of both and she has some powers from each, but wants to protect both species even though they hate each other and warred for ages. Her love life, and excess of interested guys, continues.

Ana has interrupted the Hunt twice already, so when she discovers the vampires are hungry almost to the point of insanity she's determined to save them, but not by giving them a witch to kill. Interesting solution she came up with.

Loved this book, it was a great addition to the series! I am sad this is the last book though, I still have so many questions! This book definitely had a lot going on supernaturally and with the guys in Ana's life. She really doesn't get much of a break in this book and there are some events that I didn't see coming. There really isn't much more I can say regarding the plot because I don't want to give anything away.

I liked it a lot until I read the end. I have enjoyed the series and going in to this book I knew it was the final one. Which is why when I read the last page I kept looking for the next chapter. Nothing, and I mean nothing was resolved or had a definite end or decision. Ana could have a least picked one guy, I don't like to be forever wondering, even if it wouldn't be happily ever after for them. So I liked the series, but I really wish there was another book!

mmeeeehhhhh i liked it but sometimes i just felt too bored.....the way breaking the hex was so quick i mean it was like tate remembered she didn't metion it before and she just wrote it there for good measure i mean like all these boring details and when it came to real action she would just finish quickly anyway i love the series so i feel like there is a lot more to it now than ever

LOVED ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!! GREAT ending!!!! Loved Ana, loved Elias, even kind of loved Matt. SO glad this ended the way it did, even though not entirely the way I thought it would have...but besides that I thought it was FABULOUS!!!!! And such a great series!! I really loved it and while I am sad for this to be the end, I am glad too, because the ending was not so open ended that it's not fulfilling, but not so closed that there can never be anymore to the story, while the GREAT part is that...more

I have to say I'm in love with the cover, so beautiful! The book was a bit disappointing. It was all about Ana and her boy problems. She dates with some human boy Thompson, and I thought there was no chemistry there. I didn't get the whole romance with him, it was kind of all of a sudden and just forced. Then there is Nick, the rocker, while I liked him in the first and the second book, I didn't like him in this book at all. I loved this series. This book was by far the best of the 3. I hate that it is the end. Completely different than any other vampire series I have read. My only complaint is that there isn't a 4th book.
