In this story, Emily and her mother lived happy and free on their farm until one day, Emily's mother passed away in a farm accident. Emily wanted to never remember this incident again so she left the farm and went to the city for a office job. After 10 years, Emily decided to come back and sell the farm but while she was there, she had found Rain, a boy she nicknamed while she was living on the farm. Rain was the most handsome boy Emily has ever seen and Rain wanted to keep Emily here and not h...more
In general, this is quick read but when you have two children under 10 at home, then it's a whole different story. It is fascinating that this book is the voice of two people. The writing is cohesive and the story flows smoothly. If I had to point a fault, it would be that the book ended too quickly.
Rain comes across as someone any woman would fall for which gives you the feel of a Nora Roberts crossed with Danielle Steele sensation. Love triumphs over all and any obstacle in its way vapourizes...more

I loved each page of this book and felt happy to have picked this one to read. Though I was really busy one weekend, I still gave my eight hours to this beautiful book. That should count something in its favor, shouldn’t it? The only negative I could find in this book was a few grammatical errors and typos.[read: very, very few]

What a beautifully told love story of two tortured souls. So, in love with each other they can't get out of their own way. Well, really that it not true. Emily is the start & finish of all the trouble. She's just spoiled. Rain (Ray) is such a fantastic guy that when does do little things as pay back she really does deserve it. But this book makes you happy, sad, & mad. You laugh & cry too. A very special read the best part is there is a love story within a love story.
Enjoyed the book but didn't like the main character, Emily's behaviour at all. Regardless of the pain and anguish she suffered from her mother's death, I think she treated her father and Rain despicably.
If you like a bit more description in the bedroom (as in ANY description), you'll be disappointed but for those who prefer that sort of thing left to the imagination, this is for you. The kissing scenes are well written.

This is a love story. Emily left the rural Canadian farm and did not return for 10 years after her Mother's death.
Rain, the man that grew up with her was still there. They are reconnected and than parted. Eventually, all misunderstandings are cleared up and life is once again good. It is really an enticing story. One you want to keep reading, but yet don't want it to end.

This book had some good potential. Being Canadian, I liked that the backdrop is familiar. But let me be succinct.... The main female character was not likable at all. What a horrid person! She did not deserve love, nor did you root for her. Plus, she did a 180 in her feelings every other chapter....about major life decisions!! Wow. Psycho and a bitch. How can you care?
Holy Moly!!! What a great read!! I can't believe how much I loved this book!! And Rain,OMG...SWOON!!! So many times in this story I wanted to smack Emily up side her head for being so blind and stubborn!! I don't want to tell much about this story because it's just so good ~ You need to experience it for your self!! But trust me, it's awesome!!!

FALLING FOR RAIN certainly kept my interest. I love a good romance. My problem with it was, it's been done before by many authors. Two people have loved each other since high school. One does something that really hurts and angers the other and they go on to lead separate lives. I think you get the picture.
That being said, I did enjoy this read.

I got Falling for Rain in the Amazon Free Kindle books. I enjoyed reading the story, however, after I read it I realized I really did not like Emily. Emily's mother died in an accident but she never seemed to realize that it not only affected her but her father, who I think she was very cruel to. All works out in the end, but I guess I could not understand why she was so angry with her father. It appeared she did not hate the farm until after the accident.

Emily ran from her hometown and young love, at the death of her mother. Years later she wants to shed every bit of her past by selling her family farm and making the final slash that will break ties with Rain. Emily has become successful, hard and full of disdain for anything from her past.
Clean, brief read. Pretty obvious what will happen. Shallow characters.

This is your typical " love-hate-love" story that we all have read a million times, but I must say it is better than most .
