I began the series out of order by starting with Book 3: Shiver and Spice. As is typical of my engagement with a series of this nature, even if I don't find the chemistry between two characters to be all that compelling, if the overarching plot for the series grabs me, I'll go back and read the rest. Such was the case here. Dax and Celeste's relationship (Book #3) actually begins in this one and ties, quite nicely, into the story of Monique and Ryan.

This book was REALLY good, because 1- the characters in the book are interesting; 2- the book is part of a series; 3- The ending was good, even though it was KINDA expected.

A good Blaze. I liked the family, how close the cousins are, and how much pride the pleasure they take in their work as mediums. It was well done.
