Sentenced to Hell for killing his betraying lover and himself, Marius is content to be a slacker. Sure, he seduces the occasional traffic violation into committing mass murder, but mostly, he enjoys hanging in his sweet ’comb and schmoozing with the other demons. Anything is better than being thrust into the Bank of Souls and thrown back into the Human world of pain and ...more

Some imaginative and intriguing ideas, but terrible execution, so bad that I could barely make myself finish. Random, confusing, disorienting, obviously unintentional shifting of POV without warning or purpose ("head hopping," though I hate that term); jumpy. frenetic, and repetitive writing and pacing; strange use of language (like the use of "owned" instead of "had"), often repetitive and overly convoluted (perhaps English is not the writer's first language?); and an unfocused storyline. I liked the idea behind the story (Deity included) and the characters (especially Marius), it was funny and definitely entertaining, BUT... The terrible head-hopping was pulling me out of the story over and over and OVER again and I couldn't immerse myself completely into the story and just enjoy it. It's too bad, because I do appreciate author's imagination a lot.

If you want to read this, do it fast. It's being deleted from the DSP catalog today, August 31.

Farewell, my demon. As I said, it will return longer, stronger and with a better edit somewhere in time.

Enjoyed it very much. Funny, strange, quirky and with some interesting theories that I liked as well.

Different than S.A.'s first story, stranger and with more humor and pointed commentary about humanity and its failure to learn. Tristain is a delight and Marius the reluctant demon is a hoot.

Thirty years ago, I started writing m/m romance. My writing remained a secret lest my friends thought me a freak. Writing about men inserting tab A into slot B didn’t seem the norm for a female teenager. Reading Gordon Merrick, John Rechy and Larry Kramer helped me fill in informational gaps. Yes, I read these books in my bedroom.

As the years progressed and I discovered my sexual path, I still wro
