"She hides a shocking secret"Ramon Velaquez, heir to the Velaquez winery, clearly stated his cardinal rule to Lauren Maitland--he can't promise her more than a red&-hot affair. While she heard the words, her heart wasn't listening, and she left with more than the memory of their blissful night together...

Two years later, Ramon finds Lauren again. She's independent, str

About 80% of this book features one of my biggest HP pet peeves -- the hero who thinks the heroine should be wholly satisfied with being a mother and have no desire to enrich her life in any other way.

In order to rekindle their past relationship, the hero contracts out the heroine from her law firm under the guise that he needs a property lawyer to help him start a chain of wine bars. He insists that her boss had highly recommended her because she's a good lawyer and that she shouldn't worry tha
A wonderful read, absolutely loved the characters and how all explanations were give as to how and why the characters beliefs were and their behaviour

basic plot is of secret baby,Ramon is only son of Duke and its been drilled in his head that he has to marry a spanish aristrocrat family girl and provide heir and do his duty so he wants to enjoy his freedom, his reputation is that of a playboy his affairs does'nt last longer then few weeks and he does'nt trust women cause of a bad experience, then L
The heroine Lauren is a very successful lawyer. She has a casual affair with the hero Ramon who happens to be a Spanish Duke and is determined to marry a suitable wife preferable a Duchess.

Lauren ends the relationship even though she knows she is pregnant and hides her pregnancy from Ramon. 18 months later the hero discovers he is now a father and proposes a loveless marriage of convenience.

Loved this book. This romance was very intense. The heroine was fierce, independent and a hotshot lawyer
So the story goes like this; the female character, Lauren is a successful lawyer, who comes from a broken home after her father walks out on her and her mother. Lauren still has emotional scarring from this time. She has been having an affair with the rich Ramon, the male character, with whom she has fallen in love and just discovered she is pregnant. Ramon comes from Spanish nobility, and is a self confessed playboy who fears the day he will have to settle down and marry a suitable blue-blooded ...more
His Unknown Heir is not a super exciting book with tons of angst or betrayal. Instead, it is about two strong, independent people who try their best to compromise and make their relationship work when they realized it was a relationship they both wanted.

Lauren is great. She's a smart, hard-working lawyer who values her independence and refuses to rely on anyone for either emotional or financial help. She is part of a big law firm specializing in commercial property and she's very proud of her c
3.5 stars. Too cute! Typical Harlequin romance but I'm a sucker for cheesy romances like these. <3
Run of the mill secret baby story with no real surprises. I can get behind a good secret baby story if the reason for it is solid and/or different. But here is was not real solid and even worse in my opinion, the heroine is an older, well educated, gainfully employed at a good job, woman. She should have known better. I generally give an 18 year old making a bad decision a bit of a pass because that's just a mixed up kid making a bad decision but that wasn't the case here. Other than that standa ...more
i was confused about how to rate the book. i did not like either of the main characters over much! i thought lauren was pathetic and needed to work on her attitude! ramon did not deem her anything special apart from an easy lay. he told her dat much in more or less the same words. yet, she cud not resist him. she left him but as soon as he got back, she fell into bed wid him! the book was still well-written and ramon's unconditional love for his son was really sweet. he thought the world of his ...more
I never quite liked this novel, there was always something holding it back. The emotions didn't seem real. Honestly, it was kind of messed up. It felt super bland.
Laura YA indie princess
really enjoyed this book and the characters
Kalbimin Tek Sahibi..

Seriously? Macho asshat hero (and I use that term "hero" loosely) and worse-than-doormat heroine spawn a child and an emotional trainwreck of a relationship. He berates her throughout until she has no self-esteem left. Throw in side orders of sexual harrassment and threats to take away her child so she gives up her career, her country, and her family and friends to suit his needs. Here be monsters!
i did like this book, even though it had the dreaded secret baby trope! the heroine is an independent, intelligent attorney; the hero is a titled, selfish and self indulgent, rich entitled azzhat who cannot take "no" for an answer. i do get tired of these heroes who think that because they are rich/titled/whatever that they can just waltz in and say they are going to take the baby if the heroine doesn't do EXACTLY as they demand. it happened in this book even though the heroine IS a smart lawyer ...more
Another "Secret Baby" book.
With Spoilers

Lauren had a hot steamy thing going with Ramon. She thought it was a relationship and was shocked to learn that the hot Billionaire only saw her as a mistress. She got pregnant, broke up with him raising their child alone.

18 months later, Ramon pops back into her life by hiring her out as legal counsel for his company. He learns that Lauren has a child, rushes to her house and is shocked to learn that it's...dun dun dun...his child!

He blackmails her into

Good read. I like the sacrifice for the good of the child. Pride can be a bad thing. A strong Heroine with her own career something i enjoy as well.

Harlequin romance novels are like potato chips, you can't stop at just one! I have such a love for this publisher and for the many, many books that they offer. I rarely find something that doesn't satisfy and always find something for the mood I'm in.

This was my first time picking up a Chantelle Shaw book. I loved her writing and I loved the way she put the story together. While baby surprise books seem to be a dime a dozen, I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more from Chan

I grew up without a TV, let alone DVD’s, computer games etc that my kids spend so much time engrossed in, but I learned to read at an early age and from then on I was always entertained – so much so that my friends used to hide their books when I visited them because all I wanted to do was read!

When I was a teenager I discovered Mills & Boon romances in my local library, and so began a lifelon
