This read more like a first draft. The writing wasn't spectacular and the mystery was not all that complicated, and the typos drove me nuts, HOWEVER, as a fan of the Monkees, this did read like an episode of the show. The characters are written like the characters in the tv show. Overall, it was fun.

So, it's not a literary masterpiece. It's a murder mystery featuring The Monkees. And The Monkees always make me happy.
